Ibis Fortaleza passed through a major retrofit during 2010-11. I visited it last 28/04/12 and the hotel has a new look, cleaner, with some new amenities in the Ibis world like free wifi in the rooms, lcd tv and frigobar. Certainly these changes are welcomed. More

The hotel is what is expected. The room is relatively good size, clean and has all basic needs. The bath room is small. It is one block from the beach. Great location, low price, comfortable, basic rooms, good bed, quiet, pool. All in all a great hotel for budget travelers. Low cost, you must carry your own lugagge and stock your own mini bar. Rushed and poorly organized front desk staff. Initially put us in a smelly smoking room, despite our request otherwise.
