Brasilia hotels are tricky. Most are built on either side of the crossing of the main axes of the "bird" or "airplane" layout of the city, in the "hotel zone" and most date from the 60s and 70s when Brasilia was inaugurated. Many hotels thus look a bit dated, as does the Kubitschek. BUT: the hotel is undergoing refurbishment so... More

of course this may not work for most business visitors to Brasilia, but the weekend deal is just sweet, we had a good size room, recently remodeled with a good view, very good wifi and magnificent breakfast. Brazilians are the "French" of South America, if you expect them to speak English, good luck. It was 5 bucks for the Executive... More

Have arrived to Kubitscheck Plaza Hotel at night, nice entrance but incredibly NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH or SPANISH. Went to my room and got shocked! Furniture was torn out, broke and dirty. No wifi at room. Just 2 towels and no coffee. For a very expensive hotel (US$ 350 a night) it is amazing! Brasil is a nice country, but... More

We stayed as tourists- I suspect most guests are on business- overnighting en route to the Pantanal. Our room was large, recently refurbished so well decorated and furnished, with efficient quiet a/c. The bed was very comfortable with good quality linens, and the shower powerful. Cleanliness couldn't be faulted We took the evening buffet as we couldn't be bothered to... More

I booked the hotel the same day and the quality/price was excelllent. I had a little concern when entering the lobby since it looks a 60's hotels, so I was expecting old rooms. The surprise came when the room I was given was a complete new one and very modern. The stay was good. Internet was free with a maximum... More

Make no mistake - go straight to the Melia Hotel. Everyone I talked to confirmed that this is the best place to stay in Brasilia. The Kubitzschek Plaza is definitely too expensive for the results delivered: - Rooms are not entirely clean and especially the bathroom is in an awful condition. Standard of the late 1990s at best. - The... More

The location (setor hoteleiro norte) is the best to stay in Brasília. It is always necessary a taxi, but it not very expensive. I travel often to Brasília ( and I stayed in many different hotels). In Brasília there are dozen of hotels but most of them are very old and not always clean as we´d like for a hotel... More

Location as good as any other in Brasilia (so plan before going out because a taxi is most likely needed). Nice room, recently decorated. Generous breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice pool and poolside bar. More
