The staff was super nice with us. There was some problem with the payment online, so I hadn't been charged anything before arrival. Lucily they had kept our reservation and didn't rent it out to anyone else, and we could pay on arrival. Nice place, great atmosphere. Maybe a little more quite than some other hostels on Ilha Grande.

There are some nice surprises you can only find in Brazil, like making the check-in one day later, get no charge for the no-show and in addition be served with breakfast as if you were a guest from the prior day. A little away from the town, this is a great place to stay. Staff are very helpful, rooms are big and has a good breakfast. Not a party hostel but great to chill out and visit Ilha Grande. Room rates are on par with other hostels also.

If your on the island, then stay in this place. Its cheap, comfortable, extremely clean and has a great atmosphere (suitable for young, old and families. On weeknights they cook their own food and its 15 Real per head - its great value.
