Lets start off with the positives. It is located two blocks from the beach where there are hotel beach lounges and two blocks from the heart of Ipamima shopping. The recently renovated rooms and bathrooms are clean, spaciousand it might be the best shower ever took. The breakfast on the room was very good with a view to start the... More

I stay here every 8 weeks for one night, and that night is more than enough. I have to stay here before an early morning drive north to Macae to go offshore. I have never woke up feeling fresh and ready for work. The rooms are damp, and the AC is noisy, I even had one room that when the... More

This was my second time in Rio de Janeiro and first time at Everest Rio. I did not have too much say in where I stayed since I came down for a business conference and my travel was booked at the sponsoring hotel. I was quite nervous since I read all of the reviews on here before going but I... More

2 blocks away from Ipanema beach, clean, white sand ( good beach, not like others filled with kids from favela), hotel people at beach setup me up with chair and umbrella. Good business or vacation hotel...got corner suite with view of christ , lagoon and partial ocean. Very close to reastaurants and bars at Leblon, nicest area in Rio. Service... More

Excellent location in Impenema with the beach outside and the main shopping area one block away. The hotel lobby area looks very good and the hotel has a business centre and a nice seating area. Breakfast is served on the 23rd floor and the views of Ipenema and the surrounding area are fantastic. Breakfast had a descent spread and was... More

The key to this hotel, as I think has been pointed out in some reviews, is to stay in the renovated rooms. I found mine comfortable, large, well appointed, modern, with a great bathroom. It was also quiet, as it was at the end of the hallway rather than close to the elevators. It is not utter luxury, but a... More

I was reluctant to stay at this hotel having read some of the reviews. We were traveling for new year so hotels were expensive in particular in Ipanema area. Bear in mind its a 3/4 star hotel with different room types - pay more get more! its very good. nice clean rooms, fanatastic location and one of the best breakfast buffets... More

I stayed in this hotel twice now. It is in a perfect location, close to the beach, restaurants and shopping areas. The hotel has a beach service which mean you get a free towel, sun umbrella and bed on the beach. Free internet on all floors although not always great signal. Undergooing renovation so some floors newer than other. Very... More

The hotel has a great location in Ipanema but that is all. The front desk staff are unfriendly and seemed not happy to work there at all. In one occasion I saw two of the receptionist arguing. The rooms are full of 70s furniture, and lets not talk about the bathroom, old, old, old! Mattress are old and not comfortable.... More

This hotel was really great! We were only 1 block from Ipanema beach and 1 block in the other direction from the main street. The staff were really lovely and helpful and arranged several day trips for us! The rooms were basic but of a really good quality and kept nice and clean. The food in the restaurant was also... More
