The hotel is run down and rooms aren't worth the price you pay. There was a continuous leak from the aircon in my room and the walls are very thin so you can hear all that goes on next door. The staff on reception are very rude and unhelpful and often talk about you to other members of staff whilst... More

We wanted somewhere, safe, secure & comfortable to stay during our time in Rio. Windsor Plaza Copacabana Hotel fulfilled these needs for us with the service you would expect from a multinational hotel chain. The staff were all very professional, polite, friendly & helpful. As a bonus to us they all spoke a bit of English too which made querying... More

Considering the prices in Rio this hotel was value for money. The rooms were clean and save so everything you need in Rio.... you don't much time in the room anyway. More

The good points first: Breakfast was good. The fruit salad was excellent, the banana pancakes delicious, the tea water hot, good service. Bed. We had a good mattress so were comfortable, but please improve your pillows. Reception: Helpful The poor points. The air conditioning did not work and it took them over an hour to fix it. The first time... More

It's OK.. but no more. 5 minutes walk from the metro, which takes you quickly to much of what you may want to see in Rio, and being in Rio is more important than the hotel? The room was clean and quiet, I'm not sure a yellowish colour scheme stops a hotel from looking tired. Given the number of guests,... More

Don't know where to start really. Only a few rooms have a bath and you won't be offered one of those unless you happen to be smoker and then you can have one on the top floor. My wife cannot shower and thus we were forced to pay extra for a room with a bath (about £20 per night extra).... More

Dear Guest, I'm truly disappointed that we were not able to satisfy all your needs. You are right when you say that we don't have bathtubs in all the rooms although it's not a problem as we do have 4 rooms per floor with that feature and it is more than enough considering the requests we have for that. Yes,... More

We stayed here for 6 nights over new year. Top spot close to the main beach and shops and everything Rio. However, the rooms were very tired. They still have double beds! The room we had was tiny and cramped for two people for 6 nights. Disappointing. We were given a smoking room at first but as non-smokers they moved... More

I stayed here in October on business. I booked 9 rooms for two nights at a competitive rate. The rooms were decent and had a lovely view of the beach but my stay was spoiled as they refused to allow my Brazilian friend who I hadn't seen in two years to come up to my room to see me. She... More

The Windsor Plaza Copacabana is a reasonably priced hotel in an expensive part of Rio. The common areas (lobby, rooftop pool, etc) are nicer than the rooms. Our room felt like a Days Inn or Quality Inn in the United States, but with a nicer bathroom. Breakfast is included and the buffet is massive. The staff is friendly and most... More

Dear Guest, I would like to thank you for your kind comments about our facilities and services. We do have the special cabs with fixed fees. We do so because a lot of people don't feel safe with the yellow cabs. You're right, the prices are higher but the guests have the advantage of knowing the prices in advance and... More

Considering that Rio and especially Copacabana is a very expensive place to stay, this hotel represents pretty good value for money. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable, breakfast was good with a fair selection to suit most people. Breakfast room doubled as a restaurant in the evening, but I never saw anyone eating in there in the evening. Access... More
