we stayed 5 nights. the location is great and the price and the breakfast is ok. the owners speak english but don't really care about the customers. the only thing that really annoyed us was that the promised driver didn't show up twice so we had to take a taxi from the street at 6 am.

we stayed her for four nights, our hst was great even to the extent that he took us on a guided tour of the city in his own vehicle, waited for us while we went uo to Christ te Remdeemer, he was always on hand for advice and the breakfasts were great, Finallly so close to ipanema beach.

The B and B is in a fantastic location with all the restaurants, bars and the beach right on your doorstep. The guys who run the place are very nice but pretty disinterested. The B&B is in fact a small apartment (3 guest rooms 2 with ensuite bathrooms 1 with bathroom in the corridor). The location is great (heart of Ipanema 1 block from the beach) but it is simply dirty. Very nice and hospitable host. Rooms are clean. Location is right down the street from the beach. Close to an excelllent fruit and vegi market on Friday and within walking distance of both metro and hippie market, in Sunday. Great value!
