We stayed here as part of a tour around the country and this was by far our favourite place. So beautiful and peaceful, amazing rooms and really lovely and helpful staff. They’re a a really good restaurant on site but also very good local restaurants a short walk away. I did not want to leave at all and will go back as soon as I can.

It is probably a bit churlish to make disparaging remarks about such a classy Hotel but facts are facts. Let us start with the good stuff first and there is plenty of that. The Rooms are magnificent & the food is very, very good. Bizarrely, the coat-hangers were the best from a short-list of 6 luxury hotels that we stayed at over all of Myanmar. Above all, this Hotel is actually very good value for money and you have to ask yourself why. Basically, the Hotel is a long way from Nyaungshwe and rather cut off. There is nothing on offer anywhere near to the Hotel and you have to book a taxi if you want to go to the natural mud spa or the ' bright lights' of Nyaungshwe. I guess none of this is a disaster but when you pick up your boat to go on the Inle Lake boat tour, which you can do straight from the Hotel's jetty, you end up missing going on the canals around Nyaungshwe. My best advice is to stay in this wonderful Hotel but factor in taxi rides to Nyaung Shwe for the best of both worlds.Certainly, start your boat tour from Nyaungshwe at the very least. Two further very small points: Firstly, the view should be spectacular but in February (High Season), it gets very cloudy on the lake and you can't see the surrounding mountains for most of the day. Don't be fooled by the photos on the website. Secondly, it is very difficult not to slide Down the sunbeds. So all in all, please stay in this wonderful Hotel but book taxis to get out & about in the local area. The taxi ride to the Hotel from the airport by the way should cost no more than $15. Your driver will probably give you a discount for the return journey as well.

I received virus from their kitchen. I was vomiting and having diarrhea same time. No AC/heater. The room is either cold or hot I had to extend one more day to in this hotel to heal my sickness. No internet in the room. Staff are very nice

This hotel is set amongst some amazing scenery right on the lake. The sun rises above our room each day. Our room boasts a front lake balcony and has all the amenities you would expect; the shower is particularly good. The menu is fairly extensive and the food of an excellent quality: staff are very friendly and accommodating. The WiFi is not really to be relied upon but I had an urgent need for it so the staff let me use their computer. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit the lake.

About an hour's run from Heho Airport, the Inle Lake View Resort is a complex of huts, houses and modern blocks, each containing a range of hotel rooms. There is a central spine of dining hall, with a small library above and admin block. The rooms are well-equipped - and, after all, people don't come here to stay in their room - and the catering is not exactly fine dining but good enough. Breakfast was a bit uninteresting and uninspiring but dinner was reasonably priced. The advantage of being here, however, is that the resort is right on the lake and offers outings in traditional 'long-tail' boats into the communities around the lake and inlets. And these are a window into a mysterious world of houses on stilts and village communities linked by boat. Don't miss the Pagoda and the monastery.

We’ve traveled much, and have been fortunate enough to stay at lovely resorts the world over....but this may have been the most pleasant stay we’ve ever had at a resort. The grounds/view were beautiful, the room was spacious and elegant, and our balcony was nirvana! Housekeeping was wonderful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. We’ll cherish the time we spent on our balcony drinking coffee, reading, absorbing the view and serenity for a while....I guess until we return! What a treat!!

The hotel is set in a small village pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There were some strong points which I loved about this hotel and some disadvantages as well. What I liked: 1. Beautiful setting. The grounds are magnificent, awesome garden, a small infinity pool overlooking the fields and the lake, a footpath to a private jetty 2.The staff is courteous and helpful. The welcome by Maxime, the French gentleman who runs the hotel, was top. He gave us all the useful information and suggestions. 3.Very good served breakfast, which I prefer so much to the buffet breakfasts ru by most of the hotels 4. Huge junior suite room with big windows (including the window in an immense bathroom) 5. The hotel arranged for airport transfers and a whole day tour of the lake and both were run super smooth and were a very good value I didn't like: 1.The two evenings we were there there was a very loud music coming from just behind the fence, till around 10:30 pm. Apparently there were some festivities in the village which practically touches the walls of the hotel, and there was not much that the hotel could do about is. Another type of music (no more Rasputin, but kind of gamelan sounds over a loud, scratchy speaker) started at... 7:00 am. Considering this hotel prime value is being an ecological, nature bound place, that evening and night music was very unwelcome. Saying that I must stress that maybe we just had bad luck and its not always like this. 2.Our reservation said that the room has lake view, which was not the case. The villas with junior suites are two levels.Maybe there is a bit of a view from the upper level, but definitely not from the lower. 3.The internet is very weak and very erratic. Officially it is available at the pool/restaurant area and in the lobby. The one at the pool did not work at all during our stay. The one in the lobby was weak and on/off 4.The amount of lounge chairs at the pool is very limited (around 12-14)The two afternoons when we decided to stay at the pool it was not possible due to the fact that all the chairs were occupied. So the final score is four stars. A very nice place, but with a few minor downsides.

We had a 2 night stay and had a waterfront villa - which I would highly recommend. Lovely to wake up to the view of Inle lake and to watch the sun set on your own private deck with 2 comfortable chairs. Amazing. Very private even though there are villas on either side, they are staggered so you are not looking in on each other. The room - wow! Well decorated, big king sized bed, very comfortable. Bathroom had everything you would need. Plugs in the bathroom, amazing shower. The body lotion, shampoo etc were lovely. Service was outstanding. They could not do enough. Breakfast was great, lots of choice, something for everyone. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it. My only recommendation for the hotel, update the hair dryers, it typically takes me 4 minutes to blow dry, it literally took me 15 however that is the only fault I can find!
