We had a 5 am. appointment at UAB so we stayed here for the convenience of the location. That was the best part of the stay. We were given a $9 discount because we were using the hospital. Seriously....$9 discount that doesn't even cover the taxes you pay! The bill after discount and taxes came to $170 for one night!!... More

Stayed here in February and wrote a not so good review. Returned the last two weeks on business and found a big change. Housekeeping was immaculate, all of the exercise equipment worked and there were towels and headsets in the workout area (unlike before), no trouble with my keys (unlike before). Seems they have gotten it together.

Knowing we'd be in Birmingham for several weeks following surgery,we decided to stay at the Marriott Courtyard downtown UAB. What a great decision !! Stayed here for a night where I had an early flight. What you would expect from a newer courtyard. Many restaurant selections within walking distance. Room was nice, big desk for working. Great choice for that part of Birmingham.

This is a nice hotel with comfortable rooms and a pleasant lobby. Very easy to get to UAB hospital by going in the parking garage door, going up one floor and walking through the skybridge into one of the main areas of the hospital. The staff here is cordial. We would stay here again.

Our stay started off a bit strange, since parking garage is shared with the hospital. We had no cart to help with luggage, so be sure and tote the minimal amount.
