“Charming place just outside Dali”

Five elements is a charming hostel just outside the city walls of Dali. That is immediately the only negative point we have as you do need to walk 5-10 minutes to the city centre. So although it is not IN the center of Dali, it is VERY accessible since Dali isn't very big. Everyone was amazing and helpful, the room was spotless, shower pressure good, bathroom huge... and the food was amazing too. A really great place to stay!

“Very good all around”

Really nice place to stay. Convenient location and very friendly staff. It's really peaceful by the hostel, so you're guaranteed a comfortable sleep at the end of a long day. Staff are helpful and have very good English. Some nice food too.

“Nice hotel and very nice stuff”

I liked that hotel. Very nice stuff with good english and quite good location near old town. And really good breakfasts and coffee. Best coffee and breakfast we had in China was in that hotel. thank you :) They offer free transfers and all kinds of ticket service to attractions.

The Hostel is very good. Good situated near downtown. The staff is very friendly and speaking English. Cuisine is Western and Chinese. Good price. Every day the animations for the guests. :-) They give you the practice information what to do and see around. Possibly leave your baggage after check-out for free. :-) Peter

“Home from home”

I stayed here in May 2011, when it had been open just one month. Run by young Chinese people, who made me feel so welcome, I cant wait to go back one of these days. They organised a great excursion around the huge lake and several themed dinner evenings. Great place for comfort, feel and price.

Great place located just on the outside of the old town. Their staff is quite awesome, some of the friendliest staff I've ever come across.
