Found a great deal on Booking.com for Amfora Hotel and enjoyed our stay here thouroughly. The rooms were very modern and clean. We didn't have towels on arrival, but the staff was very quick to respond to our request for them. The shower messed water over the floor but the hotel mentioned that it is something they are looking into.... More

Modern stylish relaxing atmosphere with friendly helpful staff. Rooms are very clean, modern and cosy. Superior room is not so spacious but still comfy for two with small luggages. We had a very relaxing stay in Hvar, a lot of this thanks to Amfora. Our room was comfortable with an appropriate amount of space , comfortable bed and the bathroom was great. Just returned from an 8 day stay in Amfora having been recommended by a family member who stayed there last year. Sea view room with balcony, compact wardrobe space and one of the best showers and bath size we have experienced and we are well travelled in Europe and the States. Staff were helpful and attentive. On the plus side: the aircon is good and the blackout blinds very effective so the rooms make for a good night sleep. The pool area is really nice, lots of trees and a nice view. On the downside, the food was really not good at all. Burned omlettes, overcooked eggs, oily, greasy congealed bacon. Not much fruit at all.... More

Overall recommend. Great view of sea, modern and clean. Large pool with slide and waterfall, water cold in may. Rooms on small side but fine, nice shower. Service nice enough. Nice breakfast. Super reception balcony over looking sea. 5 min walk to town and ferry from split

Amfora is just a 5-10 minute walk from the middle of Hvar and well worth it. You are a bit out of the hectic town center and you get to walk along the harbor to the beautiful Amfora hotel.
