Far better than I expected in an oasis in the desert. The accommodation was set around nice gardens, with a lovely swimming pool. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the meals were acceptable to good. I could walk to the Siwa shopping area in five minutes. It was cold there at night, but the air conditioner worked well and... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in October (2011) and find it to be a very good hotel. Bit dusty and dirty but I beleive that they have been closded for several months given the unrest. The staff were all very pleasant and the food was a typical buffet but perfectly acceptable. My room had a working air-con and a full... More

What a dump! Screens were missing on the windows so at night mosquitoes ate me alive. I had so many bites I looked like I had the measles. Eyelids, ears, face, you name it. This happened with using repellant. ;Bed were hard and lumpy. Linens were cheap coarse sheets and meager towels. Floors were ancient linoleum. Bathroom was basic. Food... More

This is a pleasant complex of two storey buildings scattered around nice gardens. Especially pretty at night. Because of the political situation in Egypt they haven't had many visitors over the past 8 months so the manager admitted they have become lazy about cleaning and maintenance. We requested a room on the ground floor but it was dirty. A profuse... More

siwa is a small town on the edge of the desert. its the starting point for desert tours. siwa paradise hotel is only 10 minutes walk to the centre of the city. a compound of small buildings. i would not recommend having a room at the back of the compound because there is a small water pond which is realy... Stayed here 2 nights at end of tour of the oases with Ancient World Tours. Found the place rather endearing, but certainly not up-market, and some hilarious design choices. Be sure you visit the "lounge" opposite the reception office - a riot of colour and the very opposite of minimalism. However, I did find it empty, with a comfortable table... More

I agree with the reviewer who said to bear in mind that this is not a well established tourist destination. That said, we had a comfortable air conditioned room with a good bathroom where everything worked. Bed firm but comfortable and room would have been quiet but a/c unit was right outside the window and was very noisy, along with... More

Cracking little hotel...loved the silence, the pool, the cats, the food was fantastic, probably oneof the best meals ive had in Egypt and ive been over 20 times...OK its very very basic, the bathrooms aint much good but get you clean, the beds are small but clean, the electrics are dodgy, but worked, the staff were very friendly, and the... A rustic hotel set in the Western Desert Oasis of Siwa. Each room is a bungalow and is basically but tastefully decorated. The room was clean and comfy as were the beds. The towels were good, but there was only two packs of shampoo provided as toiltries. The dinner and breakfast in restaurant carries on the same theme of good quality and basic,but... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We did not hope for a 5* hotel, but you should take in consideration that Siwa is not yet a well formed tourist destination so all the facilities are elementary. Advise: If you choose this hotel, book the air conditioned room (expensive but cleaner and acceptabile bath facililies). The other rooms (ground... More
