Situated North East Moorea on Cook's Bay (one of 2 bays where cruise ships dock). Beautiful vantage restaurant to watch the tenders dropping off passengers at the temporary ferry next to the hotel. The garden bungalow can sleep 3 persons - the room is very spartan - just for sleeping & taking a shower, which is what we needed. Beds... More

Stayed for four nights in late January. Had a lagoon view bungalow which overlooked the magnificent Cooks Bay. Truly amazing views from our deck as we sat with our Hinano beer and watched the sun go down. Unit had air con and a fan so you can mix and your temperature combinations. Flowers in the room to greet us. We... More

After a week on the main island of Tahiti, getting to Moorea was a lovely respite from the business of Papetee. The ferry ride was a great trip in itself. The view of the bay at this hotel is spectacular, with the peak from the movie "South Pacific" off to the left. A few cruise ships come and go. The... More

I spent 4 nights here on a solo photographic trip in September. This was my first visit to Moorea and I chose this venue primarily based on reasonable cost. I hired a car from the Tahiti ferry station on arrival and easily drove to the hotel. The location was quite isolated but a spectacular venue overlooking the magnificent Cook's Bay.... More

I stayed for 3 nights at Kaveka. This is definitely a nice place with a beautiful view. Compared to bigger hotels it is reasonably priced. The bungalows are clean and well kept. Mine had a comfortable bed, small fridge, a tiny TV (french only), an AC, fan, large shower and a toilet. The grounds are well maintained and the owner... More

We have just come back from a 7-day stay at the Hotel Kaveka. Like many reviewers, we knew ahead of time that this was not going to be the Intercontinental and we chose it for its good value and location on the beautiful Cook's Bay. We had the beachfront bungalow which was just lovely. The deck overlooked the small beach... More

French Polynesia doesn't have to be expensive. This little gem is the most reasonably priced hotel through Expedia. Double rooms from $90, consist of a very modest but large private bungalow, on or next to the ocean. Our room had a fridge, dual ceiling fans, a/c and a nice large clean shower with toilet. The grounds are sweet, bicycle rental... More

We thoroughly enjoyed 11 days at Hotel Kaveka in a beachfront bungalow, just steps from the warm, clear waters of Cook’s Bay. We spent the majority of our time snorkeling around the Bay, taking in some local tours (circle island and lagoon tours are a must!), and just relaxing around the hotel. It’s a stunning and central location with easy... More

Positives first: Nice hotel, situated in beautiful Cooks Bay with stunning views. Sunsets at night, lovely mountain scenery behind. The bungalows are set in lovely gardens, each one separated from each other. The gardens were well maintained and generally a great atmosphere. Nice and quiet (a must for us!) Restaurants on Moorea are very expensive for the food that you... More

I stayed in this hotel with a group of my high school students, and I have to say that from the moment we arrived til the moment we left, we were looked after in an exquisite manner. The hotel is located right on Cook's Bay, which is a 15 minute drive away from the ferry port. It's a most beautiful... More
