- Phuwadee Hotel Ko Phangan

We spent 3 nights at this resort in February 2012 as we were attending a wedding nearby. We arrived at the port, on the other side of the island with prebooked transport by road. The driver collected two of us from the ferry then told us he was waiting for the next ferry and we would have to wait. We...

I expected so much more for a 3* hotel - if you can call it that! Where the 'Spa' bit comes in I have absolutely no idea! The room was very very basic and falling apart. The breakfast was awful and the dirt-track leading to the hotel is a health hazard at night with no lights and uneven surface. It's...

Look., if we knew the place would be like this, then no, neither of us would have ended up here. stranded from everything, only way to get around is via scooter, which, normally would be fun, if it wasnt for the 40 minute mud and clay. bumpy rock track to civilization...

I visited Phuwadee recently with my partner and two other couples. All in all this is a great place if you want a basic but comfortable base during your stay. We visited all the other accomadation before booking with them, and they were the best value for money.

We have booked through the hotel's website for a three night stay, after one night we have checked out.The owner was unfriendly, yelling at his staff. Breakfast was poor. The swimming pool was small, this was ok, but there was no shade, no chairs no towels. The rooms were ok, but we got rooms behind the kitchen although we had booked...

So we negotiated...

We arrived December 30 at Raiwin Beach Resort.
Arrival - We had pre booked a fold out bed for our room. The hotel staff couldn't remember if they knew about the bed or not. We arrived to our 'average' room and the fold out bed was sitting on the front porch. They promised that when we returned to the room...

First time to Thailand and we weren't disappointed. Flight from Bangkok to Ko Samui and ferry to Ko Phangan. Once on the island, 45 minute taxi (bench n the back of a truck) along windy bumpy, dusty and mostly dirt road - where are we going!?. Once we arrived and saw Thong Nai Pan Noi beach, all anxiety disappeared. Beautiful...

Thong Nai Pan Noi is one of the nicest beaches I have ever been to: turquoise waters and pale golden sand the texture of talcum powder. It's truly beautiful.
We stayed in the Raiwin bungalows for a couple of weeks in October. The bungalows are very clean, modern and fairly spacious. They are tiled throughout and have a large balcony,...
