I’m sorry for the harsh post, but never have I felt so disgusted in a hotel in Malaysia. I think the management of this place needs to read this. Besides being in the Centre of Teluk Nipah beach, location is very strategic but there are numerous hotels around you can choose from. It is a really filthy place, dirty rooms, broken bathroom doors, the beds were not comfortable, Bathroom did was not equipped, pillows and blanket were not clean. No other facilities that you will enjoy at this Hornbill Resort, not even the swimming Pool as it is merely just a stagnant pond, Very greenish and not maintained. The walkway to the pool is filthy, not taken care of and I felt like I travelled to a 3rd world country. It felt unsafe even though I know there were families around. Major renovation and remodeling needed. Paid RM200 for one night for 4 pax, in terms of price, it may be competent with the budget hotels but the budget hotels were way cleaner and better looking and came with breakfast. Air-Conds were pre-programmed so that it automatically reverts back to original setting and it felt uncomfortable while sleeping at night. Please don’t cheat people with their money. Even the stalls opposite the resort was asking us if we had booked with this resort and had nothing good to say about it. Apparently it was off-loaded by some Tengku Muda (didn’t catch the name) or VVIP that I can’t recall, and since then the resort was in filth. Bangladesh workers in the lobby doesn’t make you feel any less confident that this place isn’t right for families. Please avoid. Thanks.

stay was alright .... if you do not have high expectations. room was clean hwr the bathroom was leaking. we booked 4 rooms, one room was without water heater for bathing. there are no drinking water available hwr there is a hot water dispenser provided with no mugs/cups for use. location is good with food stalls & near to the beach hwr do not go during fasting month bcoz the stalls are all closed. In the morning, do not miss "feed the hornbills" just outside the resort. there were more than 50 hornbills perching on the electricity cables, waiting for be fed with bread .... really facinated with that moment!!! I had to pay extra RM50, on top of what was paid & another RM50 for deposit to check in earlier.

I stayed here for two nights in room 27. It was for 6 pax. The bed sheets were dirty as well as the curtain and the bathroom. As my family and i arrived late at night, we could not go to other hotel as most of them were fully booked. Those who wanted to book a room here make sure you check the room condition first.

This little hotel/motel on Teluk Nipah was great for my short stay: A 5 minute walk to Coral Beach to go swimming and enjoy other activities, close to food stalls and restaurants, has a swimming pool, clean rooms with air-con and speedy wifi. I will definitely visit again!

I book this hotel through agoda. they had changed new management, however, they not stated anywhere hotel name has changed as well. there is no telco line over there except celcom. set my gps and said i arrive destination however it's said hornbill resort. ask local people, they don't know this hotel, back to pasir bogak and finally read the review and said Seaview Pangkor Resort is Hornbill Resort. Dammn.. waste our time. room ok, very basic with aircond, bed, tv and shower room only. the towel has to request at counter. hot water counter at the receptionist area.

The guy at the front desk claimed there's a 70% tax on the price shown online! He then got on the phone to speak to the "boss" who told me the lowest price they can do is 80 ringgit a night (although the online price is 58). Even at 58 ringgit, this is not value for money. I was dumb enough to believe "the boss" who told me I can walk around and won't find any place lower than 80 a night. Fortunately, I just paid for one night and the next morning I've found many places at lower prices and offering much better and cleaner facilities. This place is also known as Nipah Garden Bay Resort and Seaview Pangkor Resort. It probably has so many names in the hope that their bad name won't spread as fast as it should. The room I was given is dirty, dank and dusty. The mattress is old and worn out. The walls are not well insulated and noise from the room next door was very loud at night (after midnight). The front desk closes before 21:00 and the wifi in the room doesn't work. Apart from the location, there's nothing positive about this so-called resort. Avoid this dump at all cost! You can stay at better and cheaper places just 3-5 min walk away.

Never have I felt the need to submit a bad review for a hotel before but this one has led me to it. Having needed to book a room last minute over a long weekend this was the only place available in our price range (the price had been doubled to rm243 due to the public holiday). Had we paid the usual rm100 rate advertised in reception the standard of this accommodation may not have felt so bad but to charge that amount for a roadside room (maybe the back rooms are better) was extortionate. We had read that the hotel had recently had some upgrades although where the evidence of this was I am not sure. We were greeted by pleasant enough staff although they seemed a little surprised by our presence. The room itself was dated, dirty, noisy and quite frankly to call itself a hotel room is an insult to the industry. Although the conditioner worked the mismatched bedding had holes, the pillows were thin and lumpy, the curtain was just about in place, there were both living and dead bugs in the bathroom and the one working light made a noise I can honestly say sounded like it to did not want to be there. Do not waste your time or money here!

The rooms are newly renovated. Got swimming pool both for adult and kids. But the lobby area is old and unattractive. Not like a proper lobby area. Even the lobby counter is very small and i only saw one staff there. No gardener or other staff. So not enough hand to handle everything. TV channels are very poor. Got no signal. Only two channels available. The chalet area also very dark at night. A bit scary even it is located just near the main road. The room's light also very small and dim (note that only one light available, besides the one in the bathroom). The rooms and facilities are simply not worth the price. To the owner, please upgrade your management and facilities. Many new resort and chalet around you are doing better than yours.

perfect budget resort for travelers, good place for family. location of this resort in quite strategic because near to the beach, taxi station, seafood restaurant and any other small shops. this resort can provide room from 2 person per room until 8 people family room which is quite cheap for me. However, this resort is located just in front of the main road and it will be quite noisy in the morning until evening but at night it is just a nice place to sleep.
