Based on online reviews we chose to stay at the Tuna Bay resort for 5 nights. We made a reservation in advance, including the transport from Kota Bharu airport to the jetty and the jetty itself. Everything was perfectly arranged; we were picked up at the airport when we arrived, and the special Tuna Bay jetty left right on time.... More

We had a good time at Tuna Bay, but there are many things that were disappointing. Firstly, it's not a very peaceful place - for most of the time you are exposed to noise from boats, water taxis, kids and extremally loud air conditioners. Unfortunately our neighbours were not very considerate and used to leave their aircon running all day;... More

Arriving at Tuna Bay, the island looked amazing - crystal clear water and white sand, and lots of fishies! We could snorkle straight off the beach and a "No Fins" policy seems to be keeping the area in pretty good condition. The staff were all delightful throughout our stay and it's a great tropical getaway. Wandering around the island, we... More

At first glance the Island looks amazing, white sands, crystal clear water. then you are met with a orange juice and told to sit in the restuarant until your room is ready. This is about an hour as the boats arrives at approx 11.30 but you not suppose to check in till 2pm. Nobody explained thiis, anyway at around 1pm we... More

I travelled as a couple in May 2012. We had to take the 3 days 2 nights full board package as for it was a peak period. All in all it was value for money. The rooms were nice and clean. The staffs were helpful and courteous. Food was good and served in big portions. We were served 4 meals... More

The location is perfect , nice and quite beach with a nice coral park in front . The snorkeling trips are very good ( 3 to 4 locations per trip). The room is basic but the AC is working and the bed is comfortable. Food is correct (we were on full board the first 2 days , then a la... More

I was here with my sister and my two 8 year old kids for 5 nights and 6 days. I seriously don't know how we are going to top this vacation. We had a "family suite" which consists of a room on the beach which backs onto an adjoining room facing the garden. The room was literally ON the beach;... More

We had a very nice stay in tuna bay. The rooms are basic but comfortable and the island and resort have a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Don't expect anything fancy but that's also the charm of the islands. We also enjoyed diving with seahorse divers, just next to the hotel. More

For what we paid, I thought this resort was pretty average. There was also a sense of trying to make money on everything, which I know is not uncommon but when you look at the food prices which exclude 'tax', wifi, commission on airport transfer etc. it makes you think. Staff were friendly which is always a bonus but upon... More

We loved our stay at the Tuna Bay Island Resort. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms were good but sometimes there were rolling blackouts - I think they had to switch generators. In my room though, we sometimes had trouble with the air conditioning unit. It wouldn't always turn on when we wanted it to. Rooms were overall clean;... More
