Spent four nights here in the twin front room (#4) - a strange set-up (beds are end to end) but it worked fine for us. Nice and bright with good views, although lots of street noise. A lot of noise from inside as well, sound really carries in there. It was a bit cold but we paid an extra 70dr/nt... More

Hostal Guernika is located in Chefchaouen's picturesque medina, not far from the central plaza. My first floor front facing room was an ok size with nice view of the town and surrounding hills. There was only one plug socket, annoyingly located behind the bed. I could have done with a second pillow but to be fair I didn't ask for... More

The room was remarkably clean - I dare say it was the cleanest room we had throughout our three weeks in Morocco. It's well worth paying extra for a heater - it kept the room nice and warm, and I had a lovely view of the mountains (ask for room 22). It was also very helpful to be able to... More

This was the best hostel we stayed in during our seven weeks travelling all around Morocco. Chefchaouen also happens to be the best place we visited. Yes, the two are connected no question, but the really important thing is Raul, the manager. We met some great people running places but Raul is our number one, without doubt. He is the... More

Well, chapeau to the owners and especially to the carekeeper Raul, this place is well managed to almost every detail which counts. I am quite astonished to the quality one is getting for 200 DHM a night, an cosy room, rich in decorations, an terrace with great views of the mountain and an breakfast so carefully prepared, gosh what more... This is a beautiful little hostal with a stunning roof terrace. The owner is friendly and professional with wonderful breakfast. There are lots of downmarket hostal in Chaouen catering to the hash tourists, but this is a genuine hostal without any of that aspect. What a relief. The price is very reasonable. I loved it!

Great hostel in a great location - right in the medina - with a beautiful interior and a nice roof terrace. Rauol was really helpful and was a great host. Breakfast was simple, but good, served in the lovely eating/living area. There's a nice area to sit down and read some of the books in the small book collection they... More

It took asking a few strangers to find the place but once we did, we never got lost again. The owners are kind and to-the-point but speak no English or Arabic (only French and Spanish). After viewing a few different rooms, we took one on the top floor- easy access to the delightful roof terrace and overlooking the town below.... More

This place makes cleanliness an art. It is bright, airy, and squeaky clean. (I suspect the decorative ceramic plates hanging in the dining room get dusted daily). The rooms are small, tastefully decorated, and clean. The Spanish owners are kind and helpful - but speak no English or Arabic. Excellent value - I hope I get the chance to stay... More

Just a stone's throw (assuming you walk the most direct path) from where the petit taxis can drop you near the medina.. This place is very well appointed, with clean, airy rooms. We took breakfast outside at Cafe Snack Mounir (they have an espresso machine there and are close to the wifi in the square), so we aren't sure about... More
