The staff try very hard indeed. They were most gracious. We had mint tea (accompanied by unpeeled peanuts and popcorn) twice with the owner in the first 5 hours after we checked in. The room had no amenities save a pump bottle of hand soap; eventually four tiny 1"x1/2"x1/8" bars. Our 'suite' had an extra bed, no sofa or chair,... More

Abdul and his brothers made us feel very welcome. Mint tea, a chat and an understanding of the Sahara and activities to do, created straightaway a "feel" for the place . Location is perfect with the view over the Dunes. We departed on camels from the kashbah and all was taken care of in a easy and natural way. It... More

The place is absolutely fantastic! We have spent unfortunately just 2 night, which is quite not enough when you want to enjoy Berber atmosphere with fantastic people - with two brothers who take care about everything you need! Acomodation - clean, typical mud house, jacuzzi and swimming pool with amazing dunes view is just made! Food - typical Berber tasty food, that... More

The area is just fantastic and the kasbah is just in front of the dunes and you can easily walk up there. The kasbah is very confortable. I read somebody complaning about the sand in the room, maybe they did not realize they were in the desert where they use to say where the water enter also the sand does.... More

My boyfriend and I travelled here a couple of weeks ago on a trip through Morocco and this was definitely one of the highlights. Fantastic value for money the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was the best we had on our visit and the evening meals were delicious. Super helpful nothing is too much for the staff we... More

Absolutely massive rooms in a stunning complex built right on the dune line, with bucket loads of character and filled with Moroccan handicrafts. The hotel is a very short drive off the main road and very easily reached in a small sedan. From the hotel, it's literally a 5 minute walk to the start of the dunes and 20 minutes... More

I stayed here for two nights with my partner. I can tell you that this is a beautiful Kasbah, the service is superb, and the location is perfect. We went on a 4x4 trip and visited several locations such as seeing fossils, a nomad family that offered us some tea and homemade bread, oasis, dromedaries (camels), to several locations for... More

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time with Youssef and his team. We travelled from Marrakech via Supratour bus and arrived past 9pm at Merzouga. Youssef picked us up from the bus station and gave us a very warm welcome. We were amazed by how big and beautiful the Kasbah is which is not what we expected. There was... More

Arriving at the Kasbah Azalay Merzouga, was so exciting. The Kasbah is on the edge of the dunes and for that reason feels really unique. We were welcomed by Omar who showed us around the Kasbah and later ate a delicious Tagine in a traditionally decorated dining room. Our rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Omar was a very friendly... More

Great rooms with an even greater view on the dunes, delicious food and great trips into the desert. For us it was important that we don't spend a night in the desert with a crowd and we were very happy about the private (just three people) trek into the desert. The team and their service is also brilliant. They really... More
