This hotel was booked for us by our travel agency. My basic requests were for hot water and free wi-fi. Those are the only good things I can say about the hotel, besides the fact that they had someone meet us at the train to bring us to the hotel. We stayed at the end of the rainy season (beginning... I traveled to Aguas Calientes with a friend on March 10th, and while we did not choose the hotel (it was included in a tour), we were very pleased. The room was very clean, and even though it was small, it had everything we needed. It was very comfortable, and there was a safe and a hairdryer in the room.... More

After losing track of our reservation, the owner (not even in town at the time) would not honour the additional "offers" he had made months earlier. And the place was mostly empty at the time! Room was so-so at best, but clean and the bathroom (hair dryer ripped off the wall!) was recently renovated. Price was very high for what... More

We stayed two nights at the Plaza Andina which is owned by Everclin a very helpful english speaker. Aguas Calientes as all the reviews say is not the prettiest place. The hotel is at the top of the steep Ave Pachacutec which is fine if someone else is carrying your bags! We had been taken to the wrong hotel and... More

The hotel was beautiful, the staff members were pleasant and helpful, the room was very nice and the water was boiling hot. The breakfast was filling, there was a safe right in the room, they provided a hair dryer for me, and the only drawback was they were supposed to meet me at the train station and I waited around... The Plaza Andina may just be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Spent a night here on an Intrepid tour and it was supposed to be a "comfort level" hotel. Yeah right. The reception is tiny and smells like damp carpet, and the rooms are even worse. Mine was dark, smelly and depressing (didn't even have a real... More

After picking out about 9 hairs from the bed, we slept in it. The bathroom was actually pretty clean and almost renovated looking. The room was very standard, like a hostel. It smelled musty when we walked in, I think that might just be because we were in Aguas Caliente, and it's very humid there. We could hear music coming... More

Room had a safe in it. Our room was off the reception, but was not noisy for that reason. Our room also had a window onto the front street, and you could hear noise from the bars into the night. Bring ear plugs! Staff was friendly enough. This place is close to the hot springs, so is a good (but... More

Hi, my comments are for The Plaza Andina in Aquas Calientes. I just returned from Peru on Sunday May 3rd. I could not believe it when we walked into the Plaza Andina, this hotel is 90% under construction there are only 3 habitable rooms. We were absolutely disgusted by the 2 rooms we were given as options, one smelled like... More
