This hotel definitely does not worth the money.. The price of the room is way too high for what they offer and especially high compering to other great hostels in the city that charge a lot less and give a lot more.. The high price don't even includ breakfast! And if you will try to eat one at the hotel... More

On the positive side I would say that the staff is very friendly. They allowed us a very early check-out which was very helpful after an overnight bus trip. Rooms are clean and spacious but in a dark and old fashioned style. There were mainly mining workers staying there. There is coca tea available on reception all day, it was... More

We stayed at Tumi for 4 nights while visiting Huaraz and enjoyed the stay. The hotel is conveniently located 2-3 blocks from the main square and within easy walking distance to restaurants etc. HotelTumi caters for a mixed of foreign and local tourists. We stayed in the Suite on the 2nd floor. I had originally reserved a double room, but... More

I stayed at El Tumi on two occasions during July 2011 with a friend of mine. The hotel was a pleasant surprise from the start, and we enjoyed our stay. The only issue was that for a couple of days we lacked hot water. The staff speaks a little of English, and are friendly. Especially the staff in the restaurant... More

We stayed at the El Tumi for 2 nights and we enjoyed every bit of it. The restaurant is amazing with great food and great friendly service. The rooms are clean and comfortable, we also used the steam room which is great after hiking. I do recommend getting rooms away from the street which are very quiet. (We stayed at... More

my husband and i have been visiting Peru for many years and we always checked hotels around $50.00 per day. This hotel 'El Tumi' has giving us the best service and best deal among all the hotels visited. The restaurant was clean, efficient service and good food; the rooms were impeccable, the even offer saunas and zen body treatments. We... More

This is a great basic hotel in Huaraz. There is a lack of decent, mid-priced accommodations. This one was about $55 for two. They are gracious hosts, have tea and water for you to serve yourself at the lobby, they have parking, good hot water pressure, cable TV, WIFI, but... the lobby computers are kind of antique, not a good... El Tumi is not a bad hotel at all. It's fairly well located in a very scenic city. I thought my room was a little cramped, but I felt very comfortable and enjoyed my stay there. The staff were very kind and the restaurant was decent.
