Stayed for 3 nights in their standard room, which was equipped with basic and dated furnitures. Room was clean and the porch was great for one to sit down and enjoy the surrounding scenery. There were many bugs in and outside the room so it might be uncomfortable for some. Meals were alright but service was great. They provided vegetarian... More

We had 3 nights here in a lovely room, with a porch overlooking a large lake. We enjoyed the birdlife, the pool and the many sights that can be seen within hours from here. This hotel was part of our tour. We didn't enjoy the Western food, but when we asked for Sri Lankan food the Manager was very obliging... More

We booked the MPS because it has such great reviews in tripadvisor and were not disappointed - quite on the contrary! As standard rooms were all booked, we treated ourselves to a deluxe room, which was huge, clean and had a nice porch with lovely view on the lake. The shower is huge as well and the water is hot.... We stopped at MPS for 1 night between the cultural trips to Dambulla and Sigiriya. This 'resort' is set in well maintained grounds by a lake. We were made to feel most welcome. However, the rooms were small, basic and in need of an overhaul, that said they were very clean. If you're tall you'll be banging your head on... More

We stayed there two nights with familly of four (2 adults, 9 month old and 2,5 yo). Very quiet and staff great. The room was a bit small for the familly and the AC was barely strong enough for the room. Water sometimes black and bathroom old fashion but hey, TISL! The pool was really apreciated, specially after visiting the... More

We stayed four nights in this lovely place, wanting somewhere quiet to come home to after visiting the cave temples in Dambulla and Sigiriya Rock. We had a deluxe room, which was a charming little chalet with our own huge veranda to sit out on, overlooking the lake. The staff were great, even bringing tea to our veranda in the... More

Very nice hotel just on the outskirts of Dambulla. Me and my wife stayed for four nights in the new deluxe rooms that have been built and they are very spacious with a balcony in which if you are lucky like we were, you may catch sight of peacocks in the large gardens below. There is also a nice lake... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night over Christmas. Our tour round Sri Lanka was not always as planned and some of the hotels we booked were absolutely NOT what they said they were. So when we were on our way to this one I was fully expecting a sub-standard room, buzzing with mosquito's and terrible food. However... More

I very much enjoyed my visit to this complex. The setting was lovely and peaceful and the staff and manager very customer service focused. They do not sell alcohol but kindly provided us with some beers as we played cards on the terrace. The food was delicious and very reasonable. Although we didn't use the pool due to time constraints... More

Our experience at MPS Village was excellent. I think most other reviews accurately state that the accomodation was peaceful, rooms are clean, adequately sized, and ours had a nice balcony that looked out at the river. The food was above average in particular the Sri Lankan food. What we were most impressed by was the service of Mr. Anura Wijewickrama,... More
