The Thilanka resort is located near the famous Dambulla Buddhist caves. That in itself makes it a terrific location. The rooms are excellent but need better maintenance. The spa looks amazing with it's pool stretching almost from the garden to the hotell lobby. The rooms were fantastic, clean, big, very modern. However, we were rather disappointed with the restaurant. Dirty tables and linnens, food rather uninspired and the service so so.

We stayed here for a night in April. Nice accommodation with nice pool. There were intermittent black outs at night whilst generators were switched to. Dinner and breakfast were both buffet style and nice. Drinks quite expensive.

Location & rooms are good for stay. But Can't Satisfy about Service & the MEALS. We'r plan to stay 2 nights, but we only took H/B and leave from the hotel, due to main meals. Its not delicious. Can't match with small hotels on the roads.
