“Terrible place to stay.”

We stayed here for a night, because our driver told us he knew Rodney. While there were some pluses, like getting juice when we got there, it was over all a terrible place. The bathroom was not clean, and had a very dim light. The door to our balcony was broken, and there where little geckos all over the place.... More

When we arrived to the place, they showed us one room which was decent looking (probably their best room on offer). So we said we'll take 5 rooms for the 10 of us. The most people if not all met Rodney in Colombo at the train station waiting for the train to Kandy. He approached us with a offer – his guesthouse. Felt compelled to write this review after experiencing and witnessing Rodney first hand. We didnt do our homework on Rodney and only wish we had. Do the search, read the forums. This budget hotel in Kandy is quite simply a superb place to be based if you have any intention of seeing Sri Lanka properly.
