This was the first of many places that we stayed in Sri Lanka for our honeymoon and it was one of the best. We love wildlife, so having monkeys on the patio outside our room within 10 minutes was a great thrill! The rooms are OK, the major downside is that there is a just a very thin door between... More

The hotel is really chalets over a large piece of land. Just as you can see the Rock Fortress from the swiming pool, you can see the pool from top of the Rock....if you climb it. We were 4 ladies who stayed for 2 nights on a historical/ cultural tour. The ayurvedic spa was the best in the area. We... More

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during cultural tour the location is fantastic with lots of monkeys and other animals in the grounds, The bungalows are ok for a couple of nights but could do with a bit of updating. The food was very good with loads of choice and excellent curries. The drinks are quite expensive and make... More

This lovely property is surrounded by trees and has a lovely lake just outside the reception and dining area. The rooms are bungalow style and are spacious. Unfortunately there are no tea and coffee making facilities and the internet is only available from reception and is very iratic. The meals were very good. Buffet style, the selection was very very... More

We stayed in Sigriya for 2 nights way back in 2008. Beautiful place lot of greenery . The breakfast and dinner was great. They served drinks in the pool. My collegue went for their honey moon in March 2012 and had the same amazing feel as i had in 2008. Summary Good cozy place to stay. More

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in March 2012. I found that there were many pros and few cons to this hotel. SImply put: PROS 1) Really well kept and managed hotel. The grounds were beautiful, the pool clean with many spare chairs, and the service was excellent. There were black faced monkeys running around the resort. 2)... More

The hotel's main strength (and why it remains popular) is its location. Situated close to Sigiriya Rock, it boasts superb views of the rock from the swimming pool area and certain sections of the dining room. The hotel grounds are very nice, green and lush with local wildlife abound including birds and monkeys. On to the not so good points:... More

The hotel was a very good experience. But beware it is totally a deserted place, far from the city. Also be careful because the hotel is almost similar to a forest. It is very dangerous to walk after 6 pm. Sometimes small animals were found even in the morning, except for that it was a superb hotel. More

The check -in was efficient, but not friendly or helpful with services. Our cottage was opposite the reception, standard, spacious, traditional and well serviced. Bathroom was very basic more 1* and better suited to a youth hostel !! No money has been spent on updating. The dining room was attractive, but more of a canteen, with all the tour groups... More
