The hotel is in its best place in the town, I stayed with my family and it was a pleasant experience, the staff were courteous and quick in response for any sort of help. The food was fantastic. Overall my family enjoyed the trip to Mysore !!!

The building is at a great location and in quite an interesting shape and décor – with probably the most signposts under one roof in the whole of India. The staff is very professional and welcoming. Located close to the Mysore palace and only few minutes to the main shopping areas.... The structure is different compared to normal city hotels...especially the restaurant... The arrangement of the restaurant and dinners accompanied by live music concerts make you feel great... A must go budget restaurant in Mysore..!!

It is in a perfect location to visit the main sites and it also has a great swimming pool on the roof (its not massive, but its a decent size and refreshing from the heat). It has great service, a library you can exchange books with, yummy restaurant and food, and TVs to be able to catch up on news... More

Every simple thing in this hotel is crafted differently and artistic. Food is not so great, its OK. Nice ambience. But the staffs are not friendly. The swimming pool is very very small. You can't expect to swim there.

The Parklane is a fun Mysore hotel. The decoration throughout the hotel hints at the owner's character -- my favorite are the elephants that trumpet water out into the small upstairs pool while the cement birds watch from their man-made rock perches. Once you put the decoration, large labels on everything and other oddities aside, this really is a charming hotel. They provided a free toiletries bag on check-in and a spotless hotel room, if slightly stained bed linen. Granted the bathroom was a bit tired but it was clean and there was plenty of toilet paper. As noted by several previous reviewers, this place is hilarious. Disney-style relief murals of Mysore sights in the hallways, huge labels on everything from the weighing scale to the light switches, a jungle-themed restaurant and upstairs pool, etc. But the location is great - walkable to the palace, the Urs market, the clock tower; and the price can't be beat...
