I stayed in the YWCA International Guesthouse three nights. The fan rooms are basic but clean. The stuff is very friendly and helped my quite a lot. If I come back to Chennai, I will stay at the guesthouse again.

This guesthouse is a real oasis away from the city havoc. The surrounding garden is peaceful, the food is excellent (complimentary breakfast but we had all meals there & we did not regret it). Close to the railway station. Very good value for your money!
