Am a frequent visitor of Ginger IITM - Chennai for the past one year. Even though the hotel has only the basic amenities, the excellent attitude and helpfulness of the staff there, especially Mr. Anbu, is the main reason that i frequent the same hotel. The rooms though small are space saving and designed well.

Apart for the location, there is nothing to recommend about this hotel, rooms are small and more likely than not, something is not functional in it. One should definitely check the room before accepting it, since something is likely to be wrong or not working in the room (first it was the AC, then the TV, then the toilet...).

This is one of the most pathetic Ginger's I have been to - overpriced, bad location, very poor service, small rooms, no cell phone connectivity, very hard to get out of the room as this is on 11th floor and the elevator service is really bad and no in-house food options. First and last time ever at this Ginger.

The only good thing about this property is its proximity to Taramani IT hub. the Hotel is on the 11th floor, its not noisy. Rooms are small but well maintained. Only food option is the basement food court which is pretty dingy with unfriendly staff and mostly closed in the evenings (although there is an unadvertised small restaurant hidden through a closed and unmarked door - took a few days to discover that!).
