The Pudong Shangri-La is outstanding. Doesn't have anything to do with the hotel itself but if you're looking for tourist souvenir type gifts you will need to go to the other side of the river. Food in the hotel is pricey, but plenty of nearby options. More

The Pudong Shangri-La was elegant and very comfortable. The staff speaks English so communication is not difficult. The Buffet breakfast is the best we have had with food stations that went on for 3 rooms. Great beds and decen tv stations to actually watch an American tv show. With a perfect location, right in the heart of Pudong, it was a perfect base to explore Shanghai. The service and rooms were up to the usual Shangri-La standard, exemplary! Our room had a spectacular view over the Bund! Stay no where else in Shanghai! More
