My daughter and I stayed here for our first night in Costa Rica. We arrived from two different cities so Jody picked me up first and brought me back to Casa Marin. Because my daughter's flight arrived early, we had to almost immediately turn around to go back and pick her up. I felt bad, but Jody was warm and... More

Our stay at Casa Marin B&B was excellent. The room was very clean and spacious and the owner Jody was very friendly and helpful and provided excellent service. Our 6 year old son loved the property and he became good friends with Jody. She also drove us around for lunch and dinner as we did not have a car at... More

I'm not surprised Casa Marin B&B has 26 "excellents." For our short stay (2 adults, two teenagers) Casa Marin was perfect. Clean, comfortable, inexpensive accommodation. Friendly, knowledgeable, reliable, efficient service. The insecurities of travel disappear. Jody turned a stopover into a memorable part of our journey.

We have stayed here several times and it's always a must-stop when we fly in and out of the San Jose Airport. Jody and Wilson are fantastic hosts and go out of their way to make sure we're comfortable and treat us like old friends. We have stayed in the Mermaid and the Dolphin, and they are very clean, well... More

My wife and I stayed here when we first got to Costa Rica. Before we got there, Jody arranged our transportation for the next day to our eco-hotel. She picked us up at the airport, and was as friendly and professional a host as one could imagine. The room was beautiful, just off the patio which had a sparkling clean... More

Jody and Wilson run a lovely, personal B&B near the airport. This was a perfect beginning and ending for our vacation in Costa Rica. Jody picked us up and made us comfortable from the first moment. She took us to a wonderful restaurant for dinner on both our first and last nights. She and Wilson each provided a nice breakfast... More

casa Marin was a perfect place to stay for the start and end of our Costa Rican adventure. Jody was so kind and accommodating. She picked my husband and me up from the airport in San Jose. We got to pick our room. I loved the dolphin room with handpainted dolphin sink and tiles in the bathroom. The rooms were... More

Casa Marin was my family's first and last stop during our recent trip to Costa Rica. We're so glad we stayed here! Jody was amazing--she offered to pick us up from the airport when we arrived, she drove us out to dinner one evening and helped us order, she let us borrow a booster seat for our rental car and... We were blessed to stay at Casa Marin B&B for one night at the start of our trip and for two nights at the end of our trip. Jody was beyond wonderful. Casa Marin B&B is located less than 10 minutes from the San Jose, SJO, airport. We are in Alajuela and are central to the volcanos, coffee plantations, waterfalls, botantical gardens and other tourist favorites. Many hotels are centered in a very busy and noisy area near the airport, Casa Marin B&B is located in a tranquil, rural area of Alajuela, yet convenient to restaurants and shopping. We offer two poolside cabinas, one especially for couples, the other for a family of four. In the main house, we have two other bedrooms and have room for up to nine guests. Casa Marin B&B is only an hour and a half from the Pacific Beach, two hours from La Fortuna and Volcano Arenal. We want the best possible vacation for our guests and are knowledgeable about hotels and tours in many areas of the country. ... more   less
