The beds in this hotel are comfortable but the walls seem paper thin as we could hear a baby crying from 2 rooms away (couldn't hear it from outside) and the traffic noise is super loud (particularly for what is a small town). The manager seemed to be focused on trying to sell us tours, he was friendly enough but it seemed to go beyond just being helpful and in the end we used the information kiosk across the road or booked online. Also the wifi was almost non existent in our room. Connected down in the lobby and it was very slow but couldn't use it in our room. My recommendation would be to find somewhere off the main road if you do want to be in located in town.

This was the first place we stayed, during our week in Costa Rica. We were warmly greeted by the staff, and were very quickly seen to our room. The rooms are extremely clean and the air conditioner worked great! There are a decent amount of food choices, very close by. I highly recommend the breakfast at this hotel, it was my favourite of the entire trip! The staff were very helpful in arranging a couple of excursions for us. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed there for a night in may while we visited the Arenal Volcano. It a was excellent! Great service by the staff at the front desk and the restaurant, and the price for the guided hiking trail at the volcano was excellent, much better than any others we checked! I am planning to go back for a longer stay and would definitely stay here again!

Hotel Central Loft was the first hotel we stayed in on our Costa Rican trip. La Fortuna is a very popular tourist town that is about 2-2.5hrs from the SJO airport. We decided on this hotel after seeing it on Priceline and reading that it was in the central part of the town. We arrived after a long day of traveling to check-in around 5pm. The front desk assistant was Jesse, and she was very friendly. She informed us that they only accept cash for the payment- which was a shock to us as we never received that info from Priceline. (Traveler tip- it's all of Costa Rica.. their credit card fees are outstandingly high so you can't blame them... but Priceline should make guests more aware) They do have a credit card machine at the hotel but try not to use it due to the fees. So... The room we were given was unlike the pictures on Priceline. It was older and felt very dark. The beds only had sheets on them... which we found at other Costa Rican hotels as well. There was one blanket in the dresser and you can ask for another. The air conditioner worked well and all the rooms have balconies with chairs and tables. It was also incredibly loud... the street noise and music from the surrounding restaurants kept us from getting much sleep, even with ear plugs. At 5am every morning we were awoken by roosters. It was charming at first but after a few days it was torture. Jesse helped us out and moved us to a much nicer room on the top floor with a view of the famous volcanos. It was great during the day but again at night, no sleep. We were here for 7 days. The restaurant downstairs offered a great free breakfast every morning and we fell in love with the staff. Andrea, the restaurant manager, is the friendliest. She took great care of us and made the trip really turn around. The pool at the hotel is also really refreshing on hot days. We booked a tour with the hotel to see the main volcano and rain forest. It was an ok tour- slightly rushed at times. The walk down to the waterfall in the park is somewhat frightening... go slowly, lol :) The only real problem is that we were over-charged for our daughter. She should've been half-price because she's young. We were refunded after confronting this, but the other tour companies in town offered much better prices for the same tours. Overall it was quite a start to our trip and we enjoyed it at times, hated it at times. I would suggest this hotel only to young party-friendly kind of folks. La Fortuna is a beautiful area and staying closer to the park would be my suggestion. **(Also watch out for people selling drugs in the town... we were shocked to see how often it happens even in restaurants. It is better to pay more and stay safe if you're traveling here with kids. Be careful at night too.)

It's on a very busy corner surrounded with bars and Restuarant. Location is amazing as it sits right on the middle of town. It has spectacular views of volcano in selected rooms. Beware of the excursion being sold at the reception area! Also noise levels are very almost unbearable. Not for families for sure! Pura vida!!

La Fortuna is not a large city, but it is certainly filled with activity and bustle. Hotel Central Loft is located in the heart of town with easy access to restaurants. You can also book tours and travel right in the hotel. As you climb the stairs to the rooms, you can look over one balcony and enjoy the view of the Volcano Arenal and Cerro Chato or lean on the other railing to watch the comings and goings of the town. There is also a nice pool area. With pleasant rooms and clean bathrooms, it is the perfect place to settle during your stay in la Fortuna.

We didn't actually stay at this hotel but we used their concierge, Jessy, to help us plan our activities whilst staying in La Fortuna. She was absolutely amazing, always very informative and never pushy. Went above and beyond for us - thank you so much!!

My daughter and I are visiting Fortuna from San José Costa Rica and found an incredible paradise here at The Hotel Central Loft. We are very satisfied with our accommodation. The rooms are very clean and the beds were perfect and enjoyed a great night sleep. Erick Zelaya from the reception of the hotel treated us like royalty. We definitely are coming back, the room service is spectacular and the food is exceptional. Eliza and Larry Hustler. San José, Costa Rica.
