I would highly advise anyone that is going to Costa Rica to definitely stay at the Pacuare Lodge!!! Our suite was right on the river and it was beautiful. It is a gorgeous place to find all kinds of nature and birds. There are many activities one can do while you are there (horseback riding, repelling, climb a mountain, bird watching, or... More

Words cannot describe this place. We stayed in the Linda Vista Suite and it was the most incredible room and resort I have stayed at. We white water rafted in and out and had a blast. All the food was amazing and the employees were great. This is a bucket list resort for everyone. More

This is a great place for white water rafting and staying for a few days. We did the horseback riding trip which is not for the weak of back (the trail is uphill and downhill and rocky and rarely flat). We visited a local village, Bajo de Tigre, which was very interesting. The Señora fixed us homemade tortillas and a... More

I stayed here with my fiancé for 1 night and what a magical place it was. Deep in the jungle seemingly away from civilisation is a beautiful lodge next to the Pacuare River. After a 2hr 4x4 drive across roads that barely looked traverseable you arrive at the lodge which brings a bit of order in the chaos of the... More

We spent 3 idyllic days here in late April, food, accommodation and most of all the people were fantastic....from the hotel pick up to the last few splashes of our retreat raft home we had an exceptionally good time. We were lucky with the weather too. What I personally thought made this stand out from other companies was that everything... More

Absolute heaven, I am still daydreaming of Pacuare three weeks later. Words cannot describe how beautiful the lodging is, airy with a gorgeous modern design and tropical birds chirping in the background, incredibly kind and personable staff and superb food. The canopy tour was tons of fun and the river rafting very exciting. An incredibly special place that I know... More

Who would have believed that after a few hours of paddling on world class water white through the rain forest in the tropics, you would end up in one of the most luxurious eco lodges in Costa Rica if not the world, simply stated. Not often does my jaw drop and I am at a loss for words. When we... More

We stayed at Pacuare for 4 nights and it couldn't have been more perfect. The location is idyllic and you get to and leave the lodge by raft which is an incredible way to start and end your adventure there. The best part of the lodge is the staff who made our experience there so special. They are extremely kind... More

Pacuare lodge is the best ecolodge in costa rica, from the white water rafting there and back (a must have- experience- the guides made it look so easy) The lodge is beautifully set next to the river, with so many activities to do, we did the horse back riding (a lovely ride amongst the countryside, suitable for novices like us)... Rafted for an hour down the Pacuare River to arrive, then the next day rafted another several hours over class 3 and 4 rapids to depart. Splendid! The staff are all very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, whether it be about rafting, natural history or the local tribes. Lunch and dinner are at fixed times. Although knowing that, and that most people... More
