We stayed here for a few nights and really enjoyed it, the only problem one might have is the fact that some rooms are near roosters that will wake you up early in the morning.. The pool was nice, it was very quiet and comfortable, beautiful landscape, good breakfast, can't complain! More

The Eco Lodge seems to be a place that had its heyday a decade ago. My wife and I stayed there one night after arriving in Liberia and this served as a cheap place to just sleep off the travel. The hotel is nice looking, but it's obviously old. The staff is nice, but obviously bored. The restaurant is decent,... More

We had just come from Liberia National Airport which is a long 3 1/2 hours away from the hotel to stay for one week. I knew the second the van got off the paved road and got on to the loose rock driveway that the palce would be hell. The bumpy driveway was was up a miserable hill and it... More

Stayed at the Eco Lodge, having booked with Gate 1 Travel - for two nights. Although the hotel is lovely, it is one hour from the Arenal Volcano and is actually located on Lake Cotter, not on Arenal Lake. After leaving the town on Arenal, you would continue on the one road around the lake for at least an hour... More

My husband and I stayed at the Eco Lodge for two nights as part of a tour of Costa Rica. The hotel is very basic. We had reserved a cabin and the first room we were given was on the second floor and was not very nice. We asked to change to another cabin with a walk out patio and... More

Gate One Travel booked our tour, and this was our hotel for the Arenal volcano area. We really liked the hotel itself - beautiful grounds, quiet, delicious breakfasts. Just outside the glass wall of the restaurant was a large shelf style bird feeder that attracted toucans and all sorts of other colorful birds. We had dinner at the restaurant our... More

We stayed here 3 nights as part of an eco-tour. The rooms were what one would expect on this type tour, adequate, not fancy. The lodging was about a 5 minute walk uphill from the main lodge and dining room. The facility is on about 400 acres, including a working farm, wooded area where indigenou Malaeku Indians put on demonstrations... More

Eco-lodge has beautiful views of the entire region, including Lake Arenal and Lake Cotter. The rooms are very comfortable with large windows overlooking a grassy plateau. The lodge itself is not close to Arenal Volcano, but is very relaxing with lots of well maintained trails and gardens through tropical forests. It is one of the most relaxing spots I have... More
