Long exhausting flight from Calgary, Alberta to Liberia. Arrived at Boyeros Hotel and met by Mrs.Lisseth Brown. She was efficient, most warming and assisted in directing us to a local restaurant. Location is one hundred yards from the main cross roads for the town of Liberia. An excellent location for walking to the bus terminal. Well worth the stay. More

We stayed here for one night as a stopover on our way to Nicaragua. This is what the Hotel is appropriate for, not much else. The rooms were reasonably clean, however, rather worn down and did not have a great atmosphere. The mattresses were really old, the AC worked, but smelled like a legionella-outbreak waiting to happen. In the first... More

Very close to public bus service from the airport. 1 USD instead of 25 USD by taxi. Very helpful English speaking hostess at front desk during daytime hours. Aslo within easy walking distance of town square. More

My husband and I needed to find a place to stay for one night before travelling to Monteverde. This was a great choice. We paid only $70 for a room and that price included a very nice breakfast. Rooms are basic, but have great balconies that overlook their very pretty grounds. We didn't get a chance to swim in their... More

Hotel Boyeros is a motel-style hotel just off the corner of the highway coming from San José and the highway to the Pacific Coast beaches. The main attraction of the hotel is its large well-maintained pool, with a wading pool for children, a water slide and a lukewarm jacuzzi. All the rooms face the pool area, which is very well... Each room has a balcony overlooking the pool area. Ours was close to the kids pool and water fountain which provides white noise to help block the street traffic. The fireworks sounded like they were in the hotel but ended by 9PM. The bugs kept us awake until we turned the a/c on after midnight. The fireworks started again at... More

Boyeros Hotel is located just south of the main intersection in town and is very easy to find. It's a main street with lots of traffic, but all the rooms are set back in with the awesome pool area. You feel like you're in a remote setting while on the balcony of your room overlooking the pool, but you're right... More

Great things about the Boyeros: the swimming pool is huge and lovely. The rooms have safes. Parking is secure. A traditional Tico breakfast is included and it's tasty. There's wifi in the lobby area, as well as a computer terminal with Internet access. The location is an easy walk to the Jumbo, downtown shopping and dining and a whole bunch... More

The best thing about this hotel is that it is right across the street from the gas station where you get dropped off when you bus across the border from Nicaragua. No need to deal with vulture cabs – you just cross the street. The hotel itself has everything you could hope for – large rooms with a deck, pool,... More

We stayed at the Hotel Boyeros after we landed in Liberia, just for 1 night before we drove to Arenal. It is definitely a 'Tico' hotel, but they are very friendly, though the staff speaks little or no english. This wasn't really a problem though. There was safe, locked parking for cars, a very pretty pool area, and each room... More
