Had an amazing stay here, very basic rooms but very clean and comfortable. Attached to a restaurant bar but it closes early so there were no noise issues (and we had great happy hour margaritas there). Includes and pool and daily cleaning service. We also saw about 50 spider monkeys while having coffee at the restaurant one morning which was... More

We booked this place on hostels.com. The directions from the bus terminal were totally misleading. It is not within walking distance of the terminal as described. However, it was only a $3 cab ride (negotiated of course). It's pretty much the first hotel leaving Quepos and heading up the windy road to Manuel Antonio. So it's a long walk to... More

We stayed here at the tail end of rainy season with beautiful mornings and showery afternoons. The weather made for a lovely time and the set up of the hotel is ideal for staying in during a storm. The room was private with it's own bathroom and we paid $60 for 3 nights here. The positives: -Awesome food, try the... More

A group of 6 young professional females were trapped across the street in Cabinas Pedro Miguel. We seeked refuge at Hotel Plinio and Jefe's for 4 days before deciding we needed to switch hotels. Ceasar, Carmen and Christina were such amazing hosts and took such good care of us. Ceasar ran into town to pick up an antibiotic for one... More

We enjoyed our stay and would return. The dining at Jefe's was very good. The staff was always very nice and accommodating. At first we thought we would not like it because the road is in front of the hotel and we could hear it. But, this is true for most of the hotels on the road to Manuel Antonio.... More

We arrived a day early into Manuel Antonio and used the lonely planet guide to pick a spot to stay one night. Thank goodness it was only one night. This place is very, very tired and slows it's age in many respects. Unfortunately, we had been drawn to the site with the lonely planet's description of walking trails that we... More

The food at Jefe's Resturant was Unbelievably perfect. Combines with great service I found myself eating there more than any other resturant in the Quepos/Manuel Antonio area. The resturant view was incredable as well. More

I just got back from Costa Rica and wanted to comment on my trip. The Hotel Plinio was a great place to stay for several reasons. The rooms were nice and affordable, the staff were very nice and helpful and the restaurant/bar was a bonus treat. The restaurant has great, affordable food and beer and the staff is very nice....
