I just got back from San Jose and I spent three nights at the Adventure Inn. First the good stuff. Great staff and overall all a good hotel. I really liked that one of the owners, Eric, personally replied to my emails. I think it's great that an owner takes a personal interest in the running of his hotel. The... More

Thanks for the review. We are a block and a half from the highway, mostly blocked from sight and sound by trees and other buildings. Most people don't seem to be bothered at all by the highway as cars are moving along at a constant speed, but if you are hyper-sensitive to any sort of noise, like if you live... More

Had a wonderful week in CR and the last night was a perfect ending to a great trip. My wife and I were traveling with our great nephew for his first international trip. The room was spacious and clean, the staff went out of their way to make us welcomed and comfortable. After zip lines, rafting and horseback riding, the... More

As others have mentioned this is the best place to start and end your trip in Costa Rica. It is about a 10 minute drive from the airport. They provide complimentary transportation to and from the airport. This saves you roughly 10 us dollars each way. You are given 1 complimentary international phone call which is an added bonus. Upon... More

Everyone should read this, great helpful Costa Rica travel advice, I'm really impressed! Only one small thing I would like to clarify regarding Adventure Inn, you get unlimited free international phone calls, not just one. More

My husband and I just spent our first night in Costa Rica at the Adventure Inn before heading off to two weeks on the Pacific Coast. What a lovely spot! Friendly staff, clean, spacious room with excellent amenities and a very comfortable bed, wonderful fresh breakfast and service in the morning. We're so glad that our last night before heading... We stayed one night to catch early morning flight. The hotel is dated, the beds were very lumpy and uncomfortable. The room was clean but dingy. I would compare the hotel to a Motel 6, but more run down. Pros. Free shuttle and wake up call Cons. Old rooms, bad beds Wouldn't stay here again

All of our beds are new queen and king size orthopaedic hotel-quality beds. Lumpy? I don't think so. Our resident artist has tastefully and professionally decorating our walls with scenic Costa Rican murals and wildlife, giving the entire hotel a more peaceful and happy feeling. Combined with all the stone work we have done and the mature plants, some people... More

Adventure Inn was our first stop on an amazing trip to Costa Rica. It isn't a five or four star hotel, but the service is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable- with a a very distinct tropical flavor! Relaxing at the pool, or eating breakfast in their lovely dining area was a fantastic way to spend the times in... More

They picked us from the airport, arranged a rental car to come to the hotel (which was to the cheaper side of the prices found online - considering the mandatory tax [20$ per day] that is hidden in tiny lawyerly words online), and overall were very helpful with recommendations etc. The hotel itself is on a semi-strip with brand name... I stayed at the Adventure Inn 1 night before and after an epic adventure in Costa Rica. From the complimentary shuttle waiting at the airport when I arrived to the quick check in, to feeling safe and taken care of during my stay, to free taxi back to airport, it was everything I could ask for. We stayed at the Adventure Inn for 1 night before catching a flight the next day. We really enjoyed our stay at Adventure Inn. We arrived by public bus almost to the front door. The people were so nice they went out of their way to help us. Thank you for your great review. Please note that we were having problems with our printer. For some reason it took about 15 minutes to print boarding passes. Everything else would print fine except boarding passes. We now have a new printer, so that problem should be fixed. More
