Sooooo overall this place is AMAZING!!!! The location is as good as you could imagine, the rooms are great and love the secluded outdoor showers :) just a couple of things bugged us; the first one is the service and general happiness of the staff. You just get the overall feeling that you are a burdon to them or something????... More

First off, I apologize if you haven't been to this glorious island and have read these idiotic reviews of people complaining. They do not understand REALITY!! My wife and I stayed in this resort for 4 nights in August 2009. What happened was we went to Rarrotonga and since it was rainy they offered to let us stay in a... More

Great to be right on the lagoon; after all, that's why you com all this way. The accommodation was nice enough, as was the food from the restaurants, but I expected a little more. I think I thought the resort would be "luxurious". It isn't. We didn't "not enjoy" our stay; just that our expectations weren't quite fulfilled. Had we... More

I agree with most of the other comments , however beware of very hungry sandflies and mosquitoes - we ended up covered in bites which could ruin any honeymoon ! Take repellants and anti itch creams. Watch out for falling coconuts ! More

We were staying at the pacific resort aitutaki and we came to the lagoon resort for lunch one day, so so glad that we decided to stay at the pacific. When we came here for lunch, it was like a deserted butlins holiday park. Staff albeit non existent didn't smile and the food was really disappointing. I had Asian beef... More

Amazing location. Warm clear water. Snorkeling was below average, with not a lot to see around the resort. We participated in a day trip to the coral which was fairly good, but not up to Great Barrier Reef standards. However the service on the day trip was great. I think we booked a cruise with a company called Brown. Staff... More

Had high hopes for this place. It was supposed to be the epitome of our honeymoon. But, in summary, found it to be expensive and overrated. It is, however, set in a great location. The water you see in the photos is exactly how it looks in real life. The rooms were pretty nice. They all have water facing views.... More

We absolutely loved the extra large king size beds and outdoor shower in ur room and especially our location BUT the tv didnt work, the service was poor (no one seemed interested) and the food at the restaurant was ordinary. We were also really upset that the airline moved our 7pm flight 2 an earlier 3.30pm one-apparently they do it... More

This place has an exceptional location but is simply not worth the money: -There is sewage smell at the beach, not constantly, but often. They have managed to spoil even Aitutaki lagoon - Only a few palm trees are cleared of coconuts, the rest - everywhere- are full of them making leaving the room dangerous or a video game-like trip.... We stayed at Aitutaki Lagoon Resort from 25.-28.09.11 and enjoyed every minute. We stayed at the overwater bungalow. My kids were 5 and 8 years old and they still talk a lot about this vacation. We really enjoyed jumping into the water directly from the bungalow and swimming with colourful fishes. The food was also very good. The only annoying... More
