This is my first review on Tripadvisor and it is just for Northern Sky Lodge. We love this place so much. Cozy, beautiful and definitely fantastic aurora. We stayed for two nights and we saw beautiful aurora on both nights (it might be hard to be seen if living in the city of Fairbanks). And I love Sid! I miss... More

We stayed 5 nights at this terrific lodge. Not only is Pascale a wonderful hostess, she offers great advice on everything from dressing to stay warm to how to photograph the Aurora. We were fortunate to see the Northern Lights every night during our stay. We opted for Room #3 with a private bath. The room was well appointed, cozy... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, and enjoyed Pascale's wonderful hospitality. I'm sorry that our travel plans didn't allow us to stay longer. We were even lucky enough to see the aurora! More

We stopped here for a night in transit to Denali, leaving Fairbanks late afternoon. On Pascales advice we took some food to have for an evening meal and after a walk around the property - guided by Sid the dog - we had our meal sitting outside looking at the surrounding countryside. The room was great, we opted for the... More

How do I even begin to express my joy of staying here? It was pure fun and enjoyment! So, frankly speaking, we didn't quite have a great initial impression of Pascale (sorry Pascale!) via all the email interactions we had because it sounded rather curt. But we eventually figured it's because she's so busy! Pascale runs this whole lodge on... More

My Fiancée and I traveled to this part of Alaska to specifically see the Aurora and were not disappointed by either the Auroras or the Lodge. Pascale is a wonderful hostess whose hospitality is hard to beat and always has lots of helpful information about the local area and events. Our room was cozy, warm and the best place to... More

The Northern Sky Lodge has been one of the best B&Bs I've stayed in by far! First of all, as the NSL is located in Ester, which is about 30miles away from Fairbanks, it does take some time to travel back to the lodge especially if you are exploring the city or the hot springs. It usually took us about... More

I traveled to Northern Sky Lodge in February 2010 with my mom. We stayed 4 nights in hope to see the Northern Lights. Unfortunatly we didn't see them, but they did see them the night before we arrived. The lodge is a perfect location if you want to see the lights. Its about 30 miles outside of Fairbanks. Location: Very... More

This place is located in remote forest. It's surrounded by nature. Very popular among aurora watchers. 2nd floor room was very warm even when outside was -40 C. However, first floor room was cold and cold air was coming in from gaps of logs on the wall. I hope they serve warm breakfast such as eggs and soup rather than... More

Just spent two weeks in Alaska traveling from Anchorage to Fairbanks, and staying here was the most relaxing portion of our trip. The Lodge is located in a quiet and beautiful spot. We spent time just sitting on a bench behind the lodge relaxing and enjoying the scenery. A great place to relax and unwind. More
