We have stayed at the Sealaska on 3 different occasions, the latest being a large mining conference...Michelle (owner & cook) prepared food for over 250 delegates and it was all good...We have stayed in 3 different kinds of rooms, while the cabins are nice, we found the rooms upstairs to be far roomier and they have 2 queen size beds... Stayed here in 2005, 2008 and 2010 and on all occasions stayed in Room 22. The rooms are basic but clean, and we liked our room because it's separated away from the main building which is the pub, and is on the edge of the property. Catch Hyder on a lovely day and the views in this area are outstanding... More

This is an older place and not prepossessing from the outside, but fine and clean inside. The beds were comfortable and the full kitchen completely equipped, water hot and great water pressure. It's situated among tall fir trees and in-your-face mountains -- spectacular setting. Everyone here -- staff, townspeople -- is very friendly and helpful. One direction down the road... More

The sleeping accommodation is adequate for a short stay in Hyder. What made the BIG difference to our vist was the hospitality extended to us by Gary, the owner of this property. Gary's hospitality went way beyond what one could ever expect. More

If you book - get one of the rooms away from the main building. Our friends had a room in the main building and it was awful - they wouldn't take their shoes off to shower! Our room was okay - Rustic. Clean. Not over priced. Just lacking. The food available was good. The internet service worked! More

My 3-ship of motorcycles pulled into Hyder with no reservations or idea of where we would stay. The town is no-frills but reaks of the wild west...all the roads are unpaved and everyone we passed gave us a friendly nod or wave. After riding around for a few minutes we found the SealaskaInn. It's no name-brand hotel, but we were... More
