Whether in Sapa, Can Tho or Chau Doc, the Victoria hotels stand out as THE places to be. Pretty expensive for Vietnam, they offer all the amenities a tired, dusty and demanding traveler can wish for. The Chau Doc Victoria is the perfect place to move on to Phom Penh in Cambodia along the Mekong River (the hotel offers a... More

It is hard to be objective, when you arrive at the Victoria Hotel in Chau doc at the riverfront on the Vietnam-Cambodia border, after having made a multiple day Mekong River boat tour on a Sampan with cramped quarters, a lumpy mattress, no air-conditioning and no hot shower. When you step into the lobby, welcomed with cool towels and a... More

This is a fantastic hotel located on the banks of the Bassac river. The whole place has a French colonial feel to it which makes for a very classy atmosphere. The staff are very friendly, efficient and helpful. The outdoor swimming pool is located at the back the hotel so overlooks the river. I guess some of the street view... More

Classic place, top location, great hotel atmosphere, high standards, high prices. I only regret having arrived there too late to enjoy this place, but that's my problem and does not detract from the hotel. I found the reservations system and the customer service in general as outstanding as everything else. It's a shame it was not cheaper... More

Perfect location for one night at The Cambodian border. Absolutely go for the river view. Very calm. Pretty room, perfectly equipped with aIrcondtioning and free WLAN. The breakfast might not be the best but having a quiet table on a charming morning on the border of the Mekong river is unforgettable More

This is definitely the best hotel in Chau Doc, it is also the most expensive. Whilst it is the best in Chau Doc there are no others really to choose from at this level, unless you go to 2.5 - 3 star. I would classify this 3.5 - 4 star european standards. It is a great place to stay enroute... More

Beautiful hotel except for the fact that there were swarms of mosquitos everywhere. Is there a reason all the doors around the lobby were open to the elements including the muggy heat and millions of these little buggers? We were scared to take the elevator as they were also full of mosquitos. Having said that, the hotel itself is beautiful... More

Service and atmosphere. Have not stayed here but have eaten here once and on our last visit we simply came for the cocktails, the pool table and the relaxed and non pretentious surroundings. The restaurant is beautifully appointed and air conditioned and the menu covers all the bases. The desserts are worth saving room for. If I'm ever here again... More

Like others, this was my jumping off point for the speedboat to Phnom Penh, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Good room, good breakfast and well-located. More
