We booked this hotel at kind of last minute trip revisions to include Avila. With a car it seemed a good idea to stay outside of town. That is a good idea but don't stay at the Vettonia. I admit that my wife and I did not stay either...

We booked the Hotel Vetonia (or "Rural Hoteles Vetonia") because it was away from the town of Avila. Are we ever glad we did! It is an old farm, with horse barns, etc. that has been converted to an inn. GORGEOUS!!! Vineyards, a view of Avila's lit walls at night, and away from the hustle and bustle beneath starry skies:...
