This place is just inside the walls of the old town, so easy to locate. They have their own parking, or on sundays (and festivals) you can park for free just outside the walls. I must have missed something but this hotel was a nightmare. The rooms were tiny, worn and dirty. The noise from the street was unbearable. We could here the man snoring in the next room. The garage door kept opening and banging all night long. We maybe got one hour sleep. In two words "a dump." More

A cosy family run hotel well located just inside the walls of Avila. Our room is good size with sufficient space for 2 pieces of luggage. Bathroom is spacious and very clean. We stayed at Hotel Arco San Vicente in mid-May 2008. We paid 100 euros plus VAT for 2 double rooms (one with twin beds,one with double bed), so it was 50 euros plus vat per room. I stayed here when travelling in Spain. Admitted, I saw it listed as the 'author's choice' in Lonely Planet, so was a bit sceptical at first... But no, this hotel offers really good value for money. Nicely decorated rooms with very good bathrooms. The location is quiet, just inside the old walls, and the owners are very friendly. More
