On arrival we wandered around this tiny town looking for a waterfront hotel that was reasonable. This hotel offered us a sea view room with little balcony, breakfast and dinner for 2 people 90 euro. How could we refuse! An added bonus was the parking they said to leave the car outside their door and they would take care of... More

At the sea-side bottom of a cliff-top Acropolis where Aristotle taught, fiercely built in stone and potentially shrouded in holiday romance, this hotel is really made by its surroundings. Unfortunately it swims internally in poor design - not sure whether it is a restaurant with rooms or just a more interesting hotel than the others in the area. With better... More

The Assos Kervansaray is in the lovely tiny village of Assos, right on the water's edge. It's a lovely spot to arrive after a long day. The room I stayed in looked straight out to the sea and I went to sleep with the sound of the water lapping at the pebble beach. It has such a dramatic setting with... More

You can view the water's edge while dining in their dining room or walk down the coast a few feet and explore other local cuisines. The rooms are located in a renovated warehouse that has all the charm that you could possibly imagine and then some. Not all rooms have a view of the coast but if you don't stay... More

The tourist infrastructure on the Edremit coast is woefully inadequate: ramshackle motels on scruffy pebble 'beaches'. In comparison, the Kervasaray is a great option. Right in the middle of the wonderfully preserved ancient port of Assos, the ensemble of stone buildings is charming and tasteful (bar the occasional misstep, such as the horrible mosaic). It has a nice pool right... More

What makes you feel satisfied or not is the reason of your stay and your expectations from the Hotel. It was a trip to Asos with my family and what I was expecting to experience was just to relax and have good time. I may say that Asos (especially the old pier Area) is a good choice to be isolated... We stumbled upon this hotel after a nearby reservation didn't work out and it was the most pleasant surprise of nearly three weeks in Turkey. We loved it so much that we returned for the last night, even though it was a significant detour on a 3100km road-trip. To start, it's an incredible bargain, considering that it includes a gigantic... More

Our stay in the Kervansaray in Assos was a highlight of our travels in Turkey. The hotel has a great atmosphere with a careful restoration of the original old stone building. It is in a perfect location to enjoy beautiful views of the ocean ans the charms of Assos. The staff were attentive and professional and the food was also... More

After having had a (very) quick look at one of the pensions next door (vastly overpriced hovels, even for Turkish standards), the Kervansaray was a pleasant surprise. A modern mod-cons hotel in an old building directly on the water, no traffic, restaurant right by the sea. They seem to do half-board only, but the dinner (served with choice of main... More
