The ultimate retreat for total tranquility and peace of mind with exceptional pampering from the professional and friendly staff. They will always try to accomodate you in every way and to fulfill your every need. The variety of accomodation caters for individual needs. The eco-reserve is most certainly one of the most best kept secrets of South Africa and most... More

We had a very pleasant stay. The total concept of the accommodation makes our stay unforgettable. The private beach is very beautiful (we were totally alone, the surrounding is amazing, soft sand beach). We remember the treatment of the staff: From the beginning till the end they give us a feeling to be a welcome guest. The real holiday feeling... More

we came to spend 4 days. Fantastic place, to rest but bad hospitality and non professional people it was fun to see that if you have a chalet you can have water in your fridge if you have a single room you have to fullfill the fridge. You are not allowed to have water !!!! There was a lot of... More

We stayed one night in the rooms, which were quite pleasant albeit a bit stuffy. Hans, the 'managing director' gave us a warm but quite stern welcome, clearly laying out the 'rules'...dinner time, where to park the car etc. For R200 per head, I have to say the set dinner was shocking.....and to call it a five course meal, is... we had 3 wonderfull days there, it is a place you can be activ, with all the activities or only relax very luxery. We did 2 times horsebackriding -galopp at this wild romantic beach... it was a deep experience with nature and well-groomed and brave horses. The owners were charming and helping us with all our questions. We had a... More

We stayed 4 nights in one of cabins, next to the pond with swingchair (super!) and sea view. Although we had some rain, we never got the chance to bore ourselves. The place is simply amazing, the remote setting with own beach, boma, walking trails, swimming pool, the horses, the dune ride and not to forget the great staff and... More

I spent a wonderful couple of days at this lodge, which was recommended by the owner of another lodge where I had previously stayed, in July 2011. I had been on the road for several days and this proved the perfect place to recuperate from travel fatigue and a bad cold. I called only a couple of hours before I... More

Myself and my wife stayed here on our honeymoon last April. There was only ourselves and the guys guys running the place. we had an amazing meal and had a good few jars with them afterwards. As it is so long since, I have forgotten their names, but we all had a great night, and I could not speak highly... More

A wonderful hotel with beautiful rooms and great food and service to match. Definitely returning! The 28 km dirt road is sometimes not easy on a normal car especially aftr rain but what a great place! More

We followed the instructions in the Greenwood guide to turn left off the n2 and follow the signs to Oyster bay. Niether the guide ,nor the signs told us that it would be 25 k down a VERY bad dirt road, and up an even worse drive to reach the lodge. The cabin was ok ,but we were kept awake... More

We feel it rather unfortunate that our Coastal Reserve with 3,5 km private sandy beachfront was not this writers cup of tea........Writer refers to the Greenwood Guide of which Oyster Bay Lodge has been a proud family member for more than 6 years. The profile of the Greenwood Guide properties is 'off the beaten track'.....natural, unusual, untouristy places, often along... More
