Through a mistake of Booking.com I met Armand the host of Avant Garde Lodge and saw the lodge and one of the rooms. Armand is a nice person and helpful and the lodge is lovely. Even though I was not staying there he offered me juice and tried for over one hour to help me rectify the booking.com mistake.

We stayed here twice between flights on our trip in Africa. It made a perfect overnight stop. Armand met us at the airport and drove us the very short distance to the guest house where we were greeted with a welcoming drink and a chef ready to make us whatever we wanted.
