I had the pleasure of visiting the Hotel after a wonderful experience last year. I must truly say, the Manager Mr Zander and staff, well done....The kids enjoyed themselves at the pool, the atmosphere was great, breakfast superb and the staff...very, very friendly and helpful..I will always go back. I stayed here in July 2011 and was very sad to see how African Sky Hotels have let this hotel go. I still remeber this hotel in its hayday in the early 90s when it was a Holiday Inn, but now it should be avoided. Many of the rooms are simply boarded up and the building is poorly maintained. But... More

Wilderness Beach Hotel is situated at a wonderful beach where you can do long walks. The hotel (formerly Holiday Inn Wilderness) has big rooms with 2 queen size beds, ground floor rooms are opening to the lawns. furthermore they have aircondition. The hotel has a nice bar, a restaurant and a cosy terrace. It offers good quality for the price.... More

... that's about it. The hotel needs an urgent refurbishment and compared to the hotel next door the prices/value is outrageous! The room didn't smell nice, the bathroom had cracked tiles, people at reception had no clue, internet access (for which you pay a relatively high price to SA standards) is absolutely unreliable and was unavailable most of the time.... Wilderness can not be described in any other way than...beautiful. We are from Cape Town and wanted a short family break. So we decided to visit Wilderness Beach Hotel. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean. The kids enjoyed the pool and beach. The Breakfast was a very good full English spread. There is also a separate restaurant... More

We stayed here as a bit of a treat after staying at backpackers. This was certainly a treat! The rooms were big and although a little dated the hotel is clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great just don't forget to ask for sausages, bacon and beans as well!! More

We stayed here for 2 nights in January 2011 when travelling the Garden Route. We had side by side rooms. Rooms were fine - clean and pretty spacious and both had amazing views. We had breakfast on both mornings and it was chaotic. Problems getting crockery, coffee etc but the food was ok. Had laundry done here too but we... More

We stayed in this hotel for two nights. Breakfast the first day was chaos...coach tours overwhelmed the staff. The hotel is ok-clean and comfy. Its a bit run down though, so not an ideal detsination. The adjacent spa was great though. More
