We were visiting friends in SA and they recommended Pilanesberg as it was not far from their home town in Johannesburg. Two and a half hours leisurely drive took us to Ivory Tree which we had booked as a good quality first time experience of big game. We arrived early, were greeted by Chris, the GM, who had our bags... More

What a memorable stay we had at this lodge! We arrived for a two night three day breakaway and from the moment we entered, the reception we received was awesome. Staff were friendly and one could not that they loved the jobs they did! Our bags were taken to the rooms and we were greeted to a lovely lunch. Spoilt... More

Stayed here two nights at Easter. The cabins are great; spacious, big bed, bath-tube and even an outdoor shower. We had a cabin close to the fence, and if you are lucky you can lie in bed and watch a kudu walking by. (I did actually) They offer two game-drives every day, one in the morning (wake up call at... This boasts 5* status & the lodges certainly don't disappoint. Each lodge is of substantial size with a balcony area. Beds are single but pushed together & are encased in a mosquito net, this also helps you feel critter free when sleeping as the roof is very high & thatched. The bathroom is a good size with windows encasing a... More

We spent 3 days at the Ivory tree Game lodge and really enjoyed our stay. The central guest areas include lounges, bar, a dining room and feature rock pool. Small intimate guest areas have been created to retain warmth and seclusion for the individual guests.
