The self-catering apartment where we stayed was well decorated and a great space to relax. Walking distance from all nightlife and shopping area. I wonderful weekend break - From a friendly reception (even that this was late at night), the cleaning staff and the place itself - The Village understands service. This is not the first time that we used... More

Perfect in every respect. I like clean places and De Waterkant House is super clean, I would say spotless. Rooms make you feel like you are at home, they have a swimming pool and a working fire place. All major points of the city are 10 minutes by a taxi. My room, Napier, had a view of the Table Mountain.... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in DeWaterkant Guest House - just a couple of things to note - it was a work trip so it was a bit frustrating that you couldn't get very good Internet access in the rooms. The check-in time of 2pm was quite late because we need to shower and rush off to meetings. However, the... More

Beautiful old home in the heart of one of Cape Town's trendiest neighborhoods. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and was particularly enthralled by the roof, which offers a perfect place to relax with a good book and a great bottle of South African wine. Will certainly consider staying here again when I next pass through Cape... More

What an awesome and inexpensive place to stay. Very clean and spacious and within walking distance to everything. De Waterkant provides excellent service and I was blown away by the friendliness of everyone. We were shown where to park and taken to our rooms. First time stay but will make De Waterkant my accommodation base when in Cape Town again.

My husband & I travelled to Cape Town to run the Two Oceans half marathon and after having a very bad experience last year with accommodation we were blown away by our little home at De Waterkant. The staff were amazing from the word go with making the booking, to check-in and for the duration of our stay. The apartment... More

I needed an emergency stop over for two nights. We were settled within 45 minutes, even though we arrived at the office late in the day during high season. I was with my little girl of 2.5 and alone, extra help was offered to unload and load the car which was housed securely but two floors down from the apartment.... More

I stayed at The Charles for 9 nights, while I was in Cape Town for a mixture of pleasure and business. The location was great - easy walking distance to both the city bowl and the Waterfront - and the staff we were all extremely helpful with everything. The roof terrace was a nice place to sit for a picnic... More

Nice enough large room, number 7, but unfortunately no fan or air conditioning so quite hot. The Internet does not work unless you are within a 1 metre radius of the lobby. Even the hotspot pay Internet you can purchase from the village does not work. I needed to make Skype calls so this was rather inconvenient. These two points... More
