This property is tolerable for visitors stopping for just a few days at most. Do not expect much more than what you pay for (around 400 zar or $25 usd per night). The rooms’ decor probably won’t seem charming. Amenities are mostly old and outdated. A welcome drink was provided when we arrived, which was a nice touch, but the fun ended there. Then we unfortunately had some issues with overall cleanliness, such as cigarette burns on sheets, repulsive smells in rooms, and possible mold. And our bathroom door violently fell off, endangering one of us. The place can also be noisy at night depending on your room, so make sure to bring earplugs.

Disgusting destination. The owner, Dean is a racist person. What i saw can not be easily described, he is a terrible human being. I saw him physically push around a woman who made a friendly remark which he deliberately misinterpreted, then verbaly assault her and finally get the doorman to remove her, She did nothing wrong. I was stunned by his savage attack. Please do not support this establishment.

This... Establishment?... Is a joke. My friend and I booked into a double room and upon going to our room to sleep, we found two random sleeping in our beds! They double booked the room and have us both a set of keys? Not only is this extremely unprofessional... It's dangerous!? The... Manager?... Then called me a bitch!? When I took him on about this situation! This place should be shut down.

Laundry dropped off , my new office shirts returned in a very poor state , manager refuses to accept blame, only offered a free eash , POINTLESS, STAINS CAUSED BY LAUNDRY SERVICE AT THE KIMBERLEY, shirts look old and I will not use them again, give them to charity or use them as rags to wash floors and toilets.

Besides being affordable, the Kimberley hotel is near Gardens shopping centre, near coffee shops and central. The highlight is the sunrise breakfast, but served very early. After 8 they have a few other popular breakfasts. The friendly vibe is topped only by the delicious light meals food in the pub.

Budget accommodation perfect for a place to crash when exploring the beautiful city of Cape Town. Interesting art work in our room 😂 Linen and towels definitely need replacing, make sure you carry your own towels. Cleanliness needs improvement. But comfortable for short stays. Breakfast was an added bonus and a free drink on arrival very welcoming. Free wifi total bonus. Enjoyed our stay

When in Cape Town, go and have a beer at this corner pub. It’s an amazing day old-world pub with authentic timber craftsmanship on the bar counter and the racks, beautiful in le floor tiles and an amazing atmosphere.

i spent about 10 nights here in Capetown and I have some wonderful experiences here in town. Firstly, the best thing about kimberly is the location, which its located at the old town area, close proximity to several attractions. Below there's a nice pub and a cozy restaurant which serves tasty and affordable drinks and food. Although the rooms here were old, yet it provided a cozy yet simple living experiences here. Rates are among the lowest in town too! Definitely recommend this place which is a great deal to backpackers

We traveled in Sept 2014, and stayed about 7 days in Cape Town, before heading to Johannesburg and Kruger Park. Had breakfast at this hotel one day. Food is good, and affordable. We ate at the outside corridor over-looking the main road, but, it was OK. Recommend to any traveler who needs to eat reasonably good food at a reasonable price.
