La Gratitude was absolutely ideal for our family of 6 children and a nanny. The house keeper, Iris, made the stay a real pleasure and couldn't be more helpful. Arriving at La Gratitude was a great tonic after a long journey. The welcome from the Housekeeper, the quality of the accomodation, the cleanliness and there is of course the views - all were wonderful.

As always, La Gratitude satisfies in its combination of historical architecture, exceptional location, simplicity and elegance. For a beach house this is in our experience rare. It remains ideally suited for larger parties of family and friends, and for extended stays. Service is basic but very friendly.
