Rooms were very spacious, and had a classic decor. All the rooms appeared to open out into a central garden area with a water feature, which made for a very relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was good, but not great. The location was quite convenient and it was fairly easy to access many of the main local attractions (we had a rental... More

We stayed at the Rosenhof on our drive to Plettenberg. The place is a great location. It is only a 10 minute walk from the town's restaurants and such. If you have a car you can drive to the Cango Caves, Cango Ostrich Farm, and even closer the Wildlife safari is just up the street. The rooms are very nicely... More

What an oasis along the garden route! Rosenhof is an elegant country house surrounded by lush gardens of roses, herbs and trees. We found a pomegranate and lime tree next to the huge herb garden. The hotel is away from the busy center – about 2 km – and is on the way to game sanctuaries and the Cango caves.... More

A generous welcome on arrival,a spacious well appointed suite with a terrace and a delightful pool in a lovely setting. Reception was superb with both girls making every effort to help us enjoy our stay. The recommende restaurant was very good and easy to... More

Great location for us as we had a car, its between the caves on one side and the Safari Ostrich farm on the other. Beautiful setting once inside the gates with well appointed good sized rooms set in a square around a grassed area. reasonable size swimming pool and a good breakfast which could be taken inside or out. The... More

The welcome of a glass of cold white port set the scene! It was so good after a long drive. The room was excellent, set in the beautiful, peaceful hotel grounds. Excellent gardens a most welcome pool and generally a great place to relax. The staff were very helpful. Loved the breakfasts in the gazebo and garden. More

We stayed two nights during our 3 week tour of Cape and Kruger. Having driven for nearly 6 hours and arriving in pouring rain we were delighted with our room - very spacious, beautifully furnished and overlooking a lawned area with fountain. We ate dinner the first night in the hotel, it was very good and all the staff were... More

Gated entrance and drive leading to main house where we were welcomed by a very efficient and pleasant member of staff. We were taken to a courtyard area around which the guest rooms are arranged and entered our room through a split door. Luxurious fittings with wonderful soft furnishings with amazing fabrics on chairs and headboards. Fresh flowers in the... More
