Our wedding at Zorgvliet was wonderful! But the staff at Zorgvliet are everything but friendly. It was embarrassing to hear our guests (who stayed over at Zorgvliet) complain of staff not being friendly or helpful. Very expensive venue for a wedding since they provide no service or even linen or cutlery. However, it is a most beautiful venue for a... More

Stayed for our friends wedding, stayed 3 nights at the end of two weeks in SA, The Positives - really lovely looking site, totally fantastic beds, masses of hot water, big room, good laundry service/cost The Negatives- all our interactions with staff were painful to say the least. The staff were unable to use their credit card machine, the whole... More

We stayed for a wedding and although the location is stunning and the accommodation quite tasteful and nice looking, bed comfortable, good air con and well appointed, the service was non-existent and it felt, for the money, like things had been done somewhat on the cheap. No service at all after 5pm, concrete floor in the bedroom a bit grubby... More

Lovely comfortable room overlooking the lake and mountains, a great value spa that exceeded all expectations. The wines are excellent as was the wine tasting followed by a beautiful meal in the restaurant, best meal on our trip to SA. Very good value for money too. Would highly recommend. More

Whether settling my child at Maties, work or pleasure with my wife, Banhoek Lodge was very comfortable and well appointed. The Zorgvliet wines are superb, and Le Pommier restaurant was a great place to dine at the end of the day. Breakfasts at Banhoek were really good, and the service, well they could have not made more effort. The road... More

Nestled just below the towering Simonsberg mountain, the Zorgvliet Vineyard is likely the most beautiful of the vineyards in Stellenbosch. Everything, from the immaculate rooms, professional and friendly staff made me feel like I had always been a part of this little bit of paradise. The Le Pommier restaurant, which supports the community through their near distance food program, has... More

We didn't stay in the accomodation, so I can't comment on that. But we did go to their spa and had such a miserable experience that I felt compelled to leave a review. The promised treatment was sold at 2 hours, but lasted about an hour; we were kept waiting by the therapists who were late; the treatment room was... More

Decided to stop by today for some wine tastings. Edward assisted us and was very welcoming and friendly. We had the cheese platters which are reasonably priced at R60. Each block of cheese is individually wrapped and plesantly served with an assortment of biscuits. I would reccommend the Sauvignon Blanc 2010.The garden setting is relaxing and atmosphere is slow paced.... More

Zorgvliet is something else - what a place. The setting is fabulous, the restaurants are friendly with excellent food, but also - what most forget - the wines are world class. Richelle has to be the best value quality bordeaux blend in the country, and the Petit Verdot and Tannat are a joy to behold. My favourite wine farm in... More
